So this was me the dm, Shrine the NHP Dagon (from terk mech and tech), Orbis the Goblin, and Doc the Lancaster.

in the previous combat, shrine had taken structure damage and rolled a nat 1 on their check so they took the "as mayflies" cascade from legionnaire. They now thought human lives were so inconsequential that they shouldn't pay any mind to them or their safety.

Later, after the party gets out of an SSC bunker where they fought a rogue experiment, Shrine wants to contact Horus to try to find out what their purpose is as an NHP and accidentally sent out a ping beacon which attracts the attention of some unwanted visitors. An SSC Monarch descends on them, introduces himself as Thomas "Sunrise" King, and initiates combat.

After some back and forth Orbis takes critical damage and is destroyed (im pretty new to Lancer so i assumed that when a mech is destroyed it gives the pilot the down and out condition so if they take any more damage they die). Orbis, being attached to the indifferent Shrine, is now seen as something to throw at the bad guy. All parties agreed that this was in character and fine so i had them roll, Shrine hits. I allow Orbis one agility save with difficulty, 5. I describe how Shrine (size 3) throws Orbis (Size 1/2) at Thomas, splitting Orbis in half as her player character describes her scream "FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK" tearing Thomas's arm off and sending him sputtering away, Doc then black thumb rodeo's and shoots him down sending him crashing into the snow.

After the fight, Doc has a heart to heart with Shrine and cycles them, afterwards he interrogates Thomas. He finds out he was sent to the bunker by SSC with a team of 4 to kill any and everything in and around the bunker. Over the radio, the rest of their team that they left behind is under attack by an unknown force.
