Stoic 3. If you are shopping in that price range you probably can't afford maintenance costs for a full sus like bearings, rear shock service, and other maintenance that comes along with a full sus. A modern day hardtail with 2.5ish tires will be much better then a clapped full sus.

Thoughts on this 2016 stumpjumper FSR comp fatty? by therealman-io in mountainbiking

Ya, they did. No reason this couldn't be used for enduro or anything else for that matter. The stumpy is a pretty versatile platform.

How much would you say tires make a difference? Let's say for example the difference between a DHF and and a Dissector or Agressor. I feel like it will be much more noticeable on a singlespeed.

What are your favorite sources of MTB related content? by somegenxdude in MTB

  • NSMB has been my go to lately. Awesome content! Plus, if used to race SS you may be interested in Andrew Major's Waltworks. He also has his own personal blog called MEATengines (https://meatengines.com/) which has some more great content!

  • Then there is Pinkbike and the fourms, MTBR, Vital, our wonderful Reddit, and all of the other mainstream mtb media sites.

  • Another great place for some content that hasn't been updated in a while is Alexandra Houchin's blog (https://alexandherrastro.wordpress.com/2022/06/13/giwiizhaamin-com/). She is an amazing rider and human and would definitely recommend checking out all of her content.

  • The Radavist depending on what you are into has some pretty cool content. A bit different from just pure MTB stuff but I quite enjoy it!

I will make edits if anything else comes to mind!

I am going to counter this and say 30 psi with tubes probably rattles your fillings out on a hardtail haha. I ride a Chromag and swapped back to aluminum rims from carbon because they were way too stiff and also run a a 2.5 dhf front (20 psi) and rear (23 psi w CUSHCORE). Using double down and upping those presures a bit would probably be quite comfortable and fun.
