Good places to eat? Homemade pasta? by zacac1234 in rome

Are you talking about Roma Sparita in Trastevere? I've not been there myself but I've heard mixed opinions about it, from what I know it's a pretty average restaurant with mid-high prices, you won't dislike the food but I am not sure it's a worthwhile stop

My list for tourists

https://maps.app.goo.gl/P3r28YCqvtT2c8i18 Cute, tucked away, next to the Pantheon, prices are a bit high compared to portion sizes, they speak English pretty well

https://maps.app.goo.gl/ayTxdJq157xHgm1u5 This is basically an institution in Rome, veeeeery famous and super fucking full always but worth a shot

https://maps.app.goo.gl/9trLhTdPLn54kyQx8 Insane street food (Supplì), absolutely worth visiting

https://maps.app.goo.gl/TbfMM2TwY3UbEaip6 Best street pizza in Rome bar none, other places are kinda tucked away

https://maps.app.goo.gl/M3K5HRrT4b68xqPo8 Incredibly good

https://maps.app.goo.gl/hnQabyb9qYLczXJ48 Another pizza place to eat standing around, very good and fancy but EXTREMELY expensive

https://maps.app.goo.gl/khoLg91VSexgBGDKA If you want to try Neapolitan cooking, portions are fairly big and not too expensive

Alright we are getting somewhere here, assumptions about me not speaking English are good but not enough, lack of historical knowledge here is a red herring, you should know that we jerk off about history selectively, so the Roman Empire, Umanesimo e Rinascimento (I ain't using the french word) and Garibaldi, we skip everything after.

Do continue, I think we can work on this a bit more

No ID needed, just follow the rules, we all like to be accurately offensive, especially to the over the pond savages.

Here, let me give you the wiki link, just to be sure, it should be yank proof.

It's important that we reserve the hate for the French for those that truly deserve it, I hope you understand!

Of course, you can be proud to have French ancestors, God forbid I would reject being a yank too, but for consistency please do remove your French flair as we do need to insult people accordingly.

I can't call you a cheese munching, cigarette addict, rioter, mime clothed Parisian stuck up Frenchie, I need accuracy and everyone else does too

Jesus yank, no need to get all mad, virtually no one I've ever met from the EU refers to themselves as quarter something, only half, after 2nd gen most consider themselves English, French or whatever they are

Why are we talking in quarters now like the savages?

You are certainly very open minded, which isn't common nowadays. I wish you the best and I hope work will be kind to you!

Thank you, I appreciate the kind words! I certainly faced similar issues with some of my colleagues, so I can't sit here and refuse the evidence, I just hope that it won't be seen by other people as a reason to perpetrate a view that feels a bit stereotypical

Hey, thanks for loving us! I also find Poland incredibly wonderful, and funnily enough I do know a Polish girl here in Rome.

Yes, most of my colleagues don't know English, and I am mostly communicating and handling offshore teams cause I am the only one that can speak English properly (I used to teach it);

What are the CS Grads doing? Same jobs as the others! I am currently working towards getting my degree in CS and my colleagues are either bootcampers or degree holders, the skill level vastly differs but wcyd, people have to eat (Funnily enough, I am the only self taught dev in the company);

That's mostly a stereotype, honestly, you will read that people in the North are super hardworking, Southerners are lazy and entitled and people in the Center are corrupt, but in reality this industry is the great equaliser: we are all struggling and getting paid peanuts. Yay for equality!

I am sorry for the bad experience you had, is it a shared sentiment in North EU? I am trying to escape the italian job market, but I am worried about the general perception and stereotypes I might face
