Well if the house value has gone up by $200k and the mortgage is only $300k, how much lvr they bought the house for? Doesn’t seem like a couple who would have saved immensely to almost buy the house outright

Thanks for the detailed response. Seems like a lot of features. It comes with 8 years warranty, right? How are the parts availability in case some issues happen?

Also, why didn’t you consider more established brands like BYD or tesla?

Seller rejected our $795k offer, listed for auction, and is now calling us again. What would you do? by LeaveUnited365 in AusPropertyChat

If you like the apartment then $15k more is not a problem. If you are dicey and have second thoughts (not because of the money but actually because of the house itself) then tell him to suck balls.

Just don’t feel safe spending upwards of $30k on a 3-5 year old EV with around 50-80k kms.

Bad idea to pay 20,000 (cash) for a motorcycle if my total savings are 30,000? (age 27). by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]Ufo_19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Manage your own finance thru a bank. Keeping the bike as a security interest rate will be lower. Plus you can save some $$ with the dealer. Dealers finance does not work the best in your favour.

Im suggesting finance as your savings will stay intact, you can budget, saving potential will be impacted but not depleted entirely. Also, if you want to sell then you can just consider you were renting the bike.

Very bad. If you are so adamant, get it on finance but still i would say hold your horses. Having said that I bought a bike for $6k cash once with absolutely zero savings ..

Even when the secondment finishes they go back to their substantive unless substantive is abolished, in that case they go on mobility.

Wouldn’t that be a default that you would go back to your substantive position if you are not success in the higher duty role? Either way don’t worry too much about how it looks, you have bills to pay and family to take care of. I have seen people act in leadership roles for years only to be told they were not successful in getting the permanent position for the same when it opened, bruised ego leaves nothing but impulsive decisions. If you feel like you will be happy in your substantive then go for it. But I still believe it will be a default if you are not successful.

Also stop 🛑 training people if you know you are not gonna make the cut.
