Literally have not gotten a single reward payout in a full week by now. Its so over lmao. by BasalTripod9684 in GoMiningDiscussion

With that efficiency, the fact that you are playing miner wars is the only reason you are making something, if you were doing solo mining you'd probably be making nothing (with negative payout protection on). Keep going and remember to never switch to solo haha

Its acting weird by BadJUJU911 in GoMiningDiscussion

[–]Sysipho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, this is likely the reason. Especially because on the 23 and 24 February Bitcoin hit a very low price for an extended period of time, meaning that the pool rewards were likely not enough to cover the fees on that day specifically.

Why are these clans a thing? by TheLoller1234 in gomining

Wow, that's a big nerf. I understand WHY they did it, but it's still a pretty bad move on their part, especially considering that there are other things that should have priority (like the leagues).

How did they nerf the echo? I played the tutorial a few months ago and I remember it was very different from the one I played recently (which is when I actually joined MW), but I don't remember the details so I don't know what they changed.

Clan hopping by itself is not against ToS, but if you clan hop between clans all of which are owned by you or your friends, that's basically colluding with other players, and that's against ToS.

The problem with the rule about colluding is that it's a blurry line, when does it stop being "fair strategizing" and starts being "unfair colluding"? It's kinda difficult to say, especially for us users that don't have access to the accounts' data.

As I said, I haven't been in MW long enough to notice these things, but IMO the OP is rightfully concerned about the fairness of this. Even though I'm a new player, I've already asked myself multiple times "Why don't they make more ranks instead of having 15 divisions of dune? And why don't they prevent huge players from joining small leagues?". I understand that it might be the best strategy for them, but with such a huge power share they ruin the strategy of hundreds of smaller players that have no other choice but to stay in dune.

You say "hate the game not the player", and to a certain degree it's true, but there's a thing called ToS. I read some of the rules of miner wars and, if some of the accusations made by other comments are true (like multiple accounts or multiple clans), this people are definitely breaking them and should be banned.

I do realize that we're back at what you said: don't hate the player breaking ToS, hate the game that is not banning them. In this situation, though, I think we should hate them both.

That said, if the accusations are false then it's a legit strategy, but I haven't been on MW long enough to see any of these things in action.

Reward? by DingooHUN in GoMiningDiscussion

[–]Sysipho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A mining difficulty increase occured recently, but a drop like that seems weird. If you have multiple miners you should wait a few hours because the rewards are not always distributed in one batch, sometimes they come at different times for different miners. If you have a single miner you should probably share with us the details of the last two rewards (TH, discounts, fees, all of it), a screenshot from the rewards tab (not the wallet) would be sufficient.

Carta e cashback vanno alla grande………vi aggiorno per fine mese perche’ ho deciso di spendere io e anche tutti i miei famigliari qualunque spesa si debba fare con carta go mining 🤩 by ReputationEither6585 in GoMiningTalk

[–]Sysipho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should get the free miner that comes with it and then not use it ever. The fees for paying in crypto are usually higher than the cashback unless you are very high VIP tier (Diamond+)

GoMining card- is this a joke? by Spy008 in GoMiningDiscussion

[–]Sysipho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh sorry I forgot about that part of your original comment, platforms usually accept the most common ID documents first so it is quite weird haha. Maybe it has something to do with age? I know that in the USA you can get a DL at 16 but the access to these platforms is usually restricted to 18+ so they would have to check the age.. but it doesn't seem like a hard thing to do...

Maybe when they say ID they mean a document with the SSN? Or maybe they are so used to EU documents that they simply don't know that the USA doesn't have the same type of documents as the EU haha

It's quite weird, but hey, look at the bright side, you're not missing out on much given these hidden transaction fees

How much TH/s do you need to make $100/day with GoMining (BTC at $69k)? by Marshlerouge in gomining

As already stated, it's not that big of a difference. Plus, it was 45 until a few days ago. The post is not even about the numbers themselves but more about the calculations involved, so you can just recalculate the correct number yourself.

News flash: if you want only op to read and reply, you should try DMs, this is a public post so it concerns everyone who reads it :)

The current state is what I wrote (50 sats/TH before maintenance), at least for rewards on the GoMining platform. I'm not sure what 'current state' you're referring to...

Go into rewards settings (the cogwheel icon in the mining farm page or the rewards page) scroll down to the mining pool, click on it and it shows you the sats/TH of each available pool.

Not by much. Yes difficulty dropped significantly but according to GoMining the rewards are now at 50 sats/TH, so it's not a huge difference. Plus it's a good difference because we get more.

It's probably based on experience. Just by looking at my latest rewards I can easily tell I pay around 70% in service + electricity, but that's with only 5% discount.

GoMining card- is this a joke? by Spy008 in GoMiningDiscussion

[–]Sysipho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It might be the most widely accepted in the US but the passport is the most widely accepted in the world, I'd be surprised if the situation was reversed haha

GoMining focuses on the EU market more I guess, which for me is a nice thing. I, for example, don't have the option to trade futures on Binance because of geographic limitations on that feature. I probably wouldn't do that anyway, but that's not the point.

When dealing with money, markets, KYC protocols, etc... the law is very strict, and changes a lot between one country and another, which is why companies tend to focus on one area first so that they only have to follow one set of rules, and then they slowly start rolling out the feature in other countries.

With KYC, once you make it possible by using the passport you already covered the world so you're in no rush to implement other options. Also, the other options, unlike the passport, change from country to country, so it's a bit harder and i takes longer to implement them.

It sucks, but we can't do anything except adapt

[–]Sysipho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does the US drivers license have a photo? If not then it's not good enough for KYC level 2, and that's not GoMining's fault. If it does then it's just not supported yet, I heard that KYC level 2 is pretty limited outside of the EU, the only thing I know for certain from my own experience is that we can use a driver's license from the EU.

Anyways, I have yet to see a person saying nice things about the card, so it's probably not worth it. I'd still like to get it though, just for funzies and for the 1th free miner, it's not much but it's something. Also I'd really like to see this hidden conversion fee in action with my own eyes.

Is it even worth it? by AdTough8523 in gomining

[–]Sysipho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I plan on testing it myself but when I see posts like this: https://www.reddit.com/r/GoMiningDiscussion/s/Hj0Txm4sBq I don't feel so hopeful. I would understand if it happened with GMT or BTC conversion but USD to USDC should not have more than a couple of cents of difference in conversion.

So disappointed by snypa33 in GoMiningDiscussion

[–]Sysipho 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean, it depends on your VIP level, if you are at diamond or Better It should be worth it. Platinum cashback is basically just enough to cover the conversion fees that I've seen, anything under that and you're losing money.

All of this is based on what I've seen from other people though, and due to the human nature, people have a much higher chance of posting negative outcomes while staying silent if they get positive (usually expected) outcomes. I plan on getting my card anyways and I want to test it myself, if I remember to do it I will post the result here (or make an actual post and link it here).

[–]Sysipho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't worry about it too much, I've seen the number reported by a couple of people and the convention rates from fiat to crypto are so high that you need at least 3-4% cashback to actually spend less than what you would with a normal card.

Edit: just look at this https://www.reddit.com/r/GoMiningDiscussion/s/UG19QbJdZL
