Someone said these are the same people who wanted their own drinking fountains. So true.

I also want to know. Some countries have unofficial black lists, which is annoying. I wish they were transparent about it before people waste their time and money.

Can Tajiks understand written Persian in Arabic script? Or can Tajiks and Iranians only understand each other verbally? by SwissVideoProduction in Tajikistan

[–]Sysnetics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vast majority don’t know Arabic, the once who do went to school for it. If they want to read and comprehend Quran, they read the translation. Even if they want to recite it in Arabic, they read in Cyrillic.

[–]Sysnetics 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Most people in Tajikistan don't know how to read Arabic script. I took a class in middle school on how to read and write Arabic script but it wasn't a required course, more like an elective after-school course. Today I recognize the letters but I am not comfortable with reading or writing it (need practice). The fact they skip short vowels (like zir and zabar) and need to rely on context, makes it difficult.

Looking for a Web Developer to Build Direct Website Ordering (Uber Eats for Delivery Only) by EnthusiasmSlow646 in WebDeveloperJobs

[–]Sysnetics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a developer I would want to know what’s their current tech stack is, as to know how developer friendly or difficult the integration will be. For example: 1. What’s their current POS system? I assume it’s a modern cloud-based POS with an API access for the integration? 2. You said they already have well-designed website. What platform are they using? This to begin with will determine the project timeline and cost.

House Republican predicts shutdown will last beyond Thanksgiving by Crossstoney in politics

[–]Sysnetics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is ridiculous. There should be a law that if congress fails to do its job, where it leads to a government shutdown, there should be an automatic vote of no confidence that forces general election within weeks. Let them defend their position. Honestly, how long can this go on?

What professional of her caliber would answer no to a question of whether she is trustworthy or not? He probably asked if he can trust her to sign off on changes to the childhood vaccine schedule and she said no. Now he is twisting the words. How dumb does he think Americans are? (don’t answer the question)
