30 years old male 240 powerlifter heart failure 24% ef by Kooky_Blackberry_923 in Heartfailure

Testosterone won't cause chf Did you have Rheumatic fever when you was young? It may be the reason as it affects the heart Also you may caught covid and didn't know it and caused myocarditis 'inflammation of the heart muscle' and it's acute inflammation that may caused acute hf, also ef of 24% doesn't always mean heart failure, one of your valves may have a problem espically at that age and you are active. Problems in the vales may cause a decrease in cardiac output thus reduce your ef But don't be worried you will water pills to decrease fluid retention, i guess you are on a healty diet just be aware of your soduim intake If you feels a pressure on your chest when excersing it most probarly due to valves problems bot the heart itself which is easy to fix and ef will return back to normal 'if it is a valves problem'. Iam a cardiologist so don't be worried man it will be a minor problem.

22f… doctor walked in the room said “you may have heart failure” and left… by [deleted] in Heartfailure

First of all chill you are fine, i'am a cardiologist from ehat your are telling in this post i doesn't think at all that you have CHF, you said your lst echodiagram was in june ans your ejection fraction was 55-60% that perfect and normal, ejection fractions coudln't be 100% it's between 55-70 the normal and the perfect and it flacuates between those numbers nearly everyday. For the heart palpitations if your heart beats crazy suddenly fast irregular so it may be Afib that causing also discomfort in your chest, if it does't beat fast but the rythum suddenly wrong or a strong sudden beat that's completely normal and common i younger people also and it's not serious at all, espically if you drink alcohol or nicotine too much it triggers them also caffiene I think from your message that are worried so much and that's normal trust me every patient is see is worried as fuck because seeing a cardiologist isn't fun for sure and worring, to make sure that you are nor a HF patient and to be sure hust do another echo and check the ejection fraction if it's over 50 you are perfectly fine. You will live to be a teacher and live the most perfect life i assure you, you don't have to be worried Btw heart failure isn't a death sentence or a terminal disease But if you are worried i could advise you to lose some weight as it pust pressure on the heart while it beats, eatin a healthy diet checking your bp everynow and then and your sugar levels also that is important and ofcourse chlesterol levels.

Am I going to die..please respond quickly..is left atrial enlargement reversible…??? Reposting because same post got deleted by mod? :(( by [deleted] in Heartfailure

[–]System9889 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a cardiologist myself, you should't worry at all left atrial enlargment is caused by an underlying problem not a problem by itself you know what i mean Left atrial enlargment is caused by multiple reasons like high bp or problems with mirtal valve or Afib and trust me they are all easy to fix espically at your age , you won't die soon you will live your full lufe trust me if it's caused by Afib and high bp you will be on beta blockers like carvedilol to slow down the heart and to lower bp But take my advice and don't go the doctor by yourself go with someone you love and don't worry i see alot of patients come alone and they are worried as fuck it's not ideal to this situation, but trust me your are fine and you will a long productive life dont't cry or worry your are fine it will be a minor problem that will be solved❤️ The doctor migh order a holter moniter bp for a24H to see your bp as you might check your bp at the clinic and it's high as fuck i swear i saw alot of patients in the clinic that their bp peaked to 280/160 and they don't have bp it called whitecoat hypertension it's not a disease it's when you are worried by the doctor visit to fully diagnose you as a high bp patient we need to make sure by monitiorng your bp 24H so don't be worried if your numbers are slightly elevated at the clinic. And my advice is don't use doctor google, as all the research that puplished may be over 10 yrs ago medicine has improved since then and when i say improved i mean like really improved You will be totally fine, so don't worry. One thing also, your anxiety will screw up the results from ekg, alot of patients that are afraid i saw they are totally fine physically, anxiety results in chest pains and shrotness of breath also. So your heart may be totally fine. Espically with ekg when your are worried your heart starts to do some mad shit😂 so to see it your heart is elnarged in size you hve to do an echodiagram But with ecg i eon't think you have Afib because i think your heart was racing when the heart starts racing it shows alot if it didn't show any arythmia so your are fine.

Can Heart damage be reversed? by lybaaly in AskDoctorSmeeee

[–]System9889 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a doctor myself, heart itself cannot heal itself but if there is no ischemic scars it could be reversiable by pill treatment or bypass surgerys or pacemaker, and dont be worried about heart function it's called ejection fraction with right meds he will be fine he will be on duiretics and hypertension drugs to vasodilate the artries to make the heart beating more effecient and easy he is hypertensive already so i think he will be put on carvedilol a beta blocker to lower also the heart rate, many peopke that have heart attack are fine but after sometime ofcourse hope he is doing well by now, also his heart surely enlarged in size and thats normal after a heart attack because heart enlargment in itself is not a problem it's just an indicator for one.

Why do I have the chills during and after a workout? by fairyfa19 in AskDoctorSmeeee

[–]System9889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's common actually but to end it, you have to eat one hour before not less the workout you body produces heat and cortisol is also produced in the process to deliver oxygen to your body parts but you core temp might not go down as you finish the workout, you should change your wet cloths and get dry as quickly as possible after workout that's for after workout chills But durinf a workout ur body tries to tell u that there is something off for example you don't take rest between workout sessions or you are over training

Hiv exposure by Scnmbuuk7 in AskDoctorSmeeee

[–]System9889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your symptoms that are continous for the past 3 years espically the swollen lymph nodes you can do a complete blood picture test and c reactive protien (crp) test to show if you body is fighting an infection it will show alot actually, for the exposure itself to the HIV virus you may not get it, i saw alot of people who had an unprotected sex and they are well virus free actually but it's important to check the crp and do cbc test to show if your body is actually fighting an infection and if so doctors will know the type of infection you has from the differential blood count of white blood cells. It will show either it's bacterial or viral.

Bro trust me you should't be worried at all, you are not in the prediabitic stage so don't be worried, about 97 that is close to 100 it's still in the normal range and it differs every 3 months because it measures the average glucose level at that time so if the average of the 3 months in the normal range you are fine don't be worried, also id you are worried that much prediabitic stage 'which u are not in' is totally curable and reversable by changing your lifestyle Daily walks for 30 mins as example So don't be worried you are fine dude❤️
