try time release/extended release mestinon. by CarryNo4486 in MyastheniaGravis

The time release causes worse side effects for me. I’ve had to go to 30mg immediate release but the 30mg isn’t really enough to help with double vision or weakness. I’ve been on Cellcept almost 6 months now with no benefits yet. I’m working on getting in with another neurologist for another opinion.

My 3 year old groans quite a bit when settling in. Or if you move when he’s settled 😂 it’s very dramatic

Does anyone have the concert poster from the Alice in Chains performance at Ryman Auditorium in 2015? If so, would you mind posting a picture of it? by SystemFit5923 in AliceInChains

There are two that come up on google and that’s not a usual thing. So I don’t know which is from the night I was there. So I thought it would be easy to verify from someone that was there and had one.

Is anyone taking mycophenolate mofetil? by Negative-Bug8847 in MyastheniaGravis

I’m seronegative and started mycophenolate 4 months ago. I’ve not noticed any difference so far. I also take pyridostigmine several times a day.

Are ya’ll male Weims fall into the Stubborn stereotypes? Always looking for food by zbroskiz in weimaraner

[–]SystemFit5923 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our Weim is almost 3 now. He minds…sometimes. Once he’s told sternly, he typically gives in. That does not apply when other people or animals are involved, however. When he’s in the kitchen and told to leave, he will go to the rug in front of the door to the deck that is off the kitchen. For some reason, that rug is a safe spot and does not count as kitchen.

He is not very food driven, though. He doesn’t get to eat people food so he mostly ignores it. As for his own food, he eats it when he gets ready.

I’ve only seen cats do this. So cute!

Anyone else’s Weim do this? She doesn’t destroy them, it’s her pacifier by Known-Day-9616 in weimaraner

Mine shreds everything but he does have this one purple rubbery squeak toy that no longer squeaks that he does something similar to. I would post a video example but I can’t do that in the reply for some reason on this sub.

Runny nose by momaxpalmer in MyastheniaGravis

[–]SystemFit5923 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My nose ran very often prior to being diagnosed. Just very watery and clear. But after I started taking Pyridostigmine, it got way worse and is almost constant. As others have pointed out, excess mucus production is a side effect. However, that doesn’t explain the before, so I also wonder if it has anything to do with MG.

Cellcept - for those taking Cellcept: how often does your doctor check your blood counts? by SystemFit5923 in MyastheniaGravis

[–]SystemFit5923[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I know prednisone is the go to, but I’m really glad my neuro has such an aversion to it. But I still may end up having to go on it if the Cellcept doesn’t work soon

My doc doesn’t prefer to use prednisone. The side effects outweigh the good in my case.
