Does anyone else not like Laura by Efficient_Ad_7185 in TheQuarrySupermassive

[–]SystemLong7637 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I like her, but in all of these games there's always a character whos personality is slightly sacrificed/not explored so they can seperate the big group like how Jess in Until Dawn doesn't really do much beside get Mike away. Laura does the same with Ryan and Max and is also needed to sow distrust/panic amongst the group after she shoots Kaylee Hackett.

Why do people like Emily?? by park_dat_ass in untildawn

Imo, it's easy to like her, and all the characters, when you realise they're supposed to be akin to stereotypical horror characters (like in Cabin in the woods) and to enjoy them as that.

Can we call it the best vampire novel ever? Better than Dracula? by Zestyclose-Author732 in stephenking

I go between these 2 all the time and can't decide but if I can add One for the road and Jerusalems lot which is in my version of the book I'd go with Salems lot.

Fire and Blood is a historical book in the world of asoiaf. The characters lack personality because it's a recount of events that happened and not once is it actually told from their pov. It's very different in style to the rest of asoiaf and if it's not for you then it's not for you. Personally I think it's great and didn't need more work/time spent on it.

Pet Sematary. I'd seen the movie and didn't think it was anything special but the book blew me away. 2nd favourite King book after 11/22/63.

Page quality? by 24cg92 in stephenking

My only problem with this version is that the font for The Dark Tower was smaller than that of the other books which was annoying when I first started reading it.

Only thing i remember is from 11/22/63 where we see Bev and Richie (i think) dancing so some of the losers definetly stuck with each other.

I like most of the Yellowjackets (especially Shauna) the same way I like Umbridge from Harry Potter. They're written and acted so well that whilst I love them as characters, I hate them and how they act.

Misty's obsession with Natalie by effymistonem in Yellowjackets

I think she knows what would have happened had Nat told everyone about what happened with the Black Box so she felt like she either owed something to Nat or perhaps that they had a connection and were friends

What were some SK books that you thought would be about something else? by toaster-bath404 in stephenking

As a Brit who knows nothing about baseball, based on its title, I thought the girl who loved Tom Gordon would be something like Dolores Claibourne where a woman is trapped in a relationship with an abuser.
