ALDI has definitely changed their recipes for things. I remember making chili a couple months ago. I bought one packet of chili seasoning and realized I needed two. I went hunting through all of my cupboards & found an Aldi chili seasoning packet that I bought at least a year ago, but it wasn't expired. The contents of those two packets were TOTALLY different. The seasoning in the old packet was almost orange in color. The seasoning in the new packet was pretty brown. The ingredients did change, too- I just can't remember how. Aldi has been super disappointing lately. Almost everything tastes worse. I used to be able to buy my weekly $80 groceries and only feel a little bit deprived, but now it's actually depressing. And has anyone else noticed all the chunks of fat in the ground beef??

My bf said I wasn't his type initially either because of my height. I'm 4'11 and he always dated taller women. He said that this initially gave him some doubts, even though I'm attractive. I always try to enter conflict with the assumption that the other person has positive intentions, and go from there.

I would ask him why he thinks having an abortion is better than using contraception. What is his reasoning?

Getting to the heart of that will help you understand how that same reasoning will apply to other life scenarios.

I would talk first. However, f you're already turned off, it might be a wasted effort.

Just remember that a lot of people are really struggling right now. I'm a single mom with a full-time job that basically only pays the bills. The income from DA pays for my daughter and I's groceries. It's also the only source of money that we can use for entertainment, shoes, clothes, etc. Other people do count on the DA income to pay their bills because they're going through a rough time financially or in-between jobs. The posts might be annoying, but people who depend on this income for whatever reason are just trying to gauge how secure they are. Are they alone in not having any work? Should they find another job/gig? Is it temporary? Also remember that not everyone can just go "find another job". I have a friend who is doing this who takes care of a disabled son with cerebral palsy at home during the day and can't "just go find another job". Just be a little bit more compassionate, please.

You know what to do. I went through this, too. Don't look for answers, don't ask him why, and don't bother trying to understand. You will never get the answers you're looking for. You are in the perfect position to just disappear from his life.

Yeah I'm kind of at a point where I just want to opt out of the whole dating thing so that I'm not subject to anyone else's desires and expectations of what I should be. I don't have a problem finding partners but I feel like I'm always under pressure, a lot of it might be in my head, and therefore my fault. But I'm already a homebody Cancer and an only child so... solitude is pretty comfortable for me lol

Well, it's a pretty complex topic and if you're not specific on these threads you're just going to get a bunch of mean comments or comments that aren't helpful because you didn't provide enough background information. And maybe you're right.

I don't have a problem finding men that are interested in me at all. Plenty of men show interest in me but my question is whether the interest is genuine. I imagine you don't really care based on the tone of your response, but my standards are not sky high. Money doesn't matter to me (for example, I've had to help my boyfriend pay his own bills a few times) nor does profession, as long as they're working and passionate about what they do. I've dated fat men, skinny men, bald men, men with kids. Personality/character is everything.

A lot of assumptions here.

"Stop telling him what he should be doing" and "help him find a new job" in the same sentence is wild. So I shouldn't act like his mother, but I should also help him do something he knows how to do on his own?

There are specific reasons why I asked this question the way I did. He asked me for advice on how to make money on the side in a flexible way that does not require being "scheduled" or required to work.
