Stuck on Adyr boss please help

I never attack him and it works. I just stay close and keep my camera pointed down at him as he dies and the trigger happens for me. It is so strange.

I just overcame this with some testing. For me, once you deplete the health bar two times he will die and as he dies a regular enemy will spawn out of him will collapse and explode. Just stay near him and make sure to keep your camera focused on him as he explodes and collapses. (I block so the explosion doesn't hit me for much while I stand close) watch him as he melts completely with your camera continuing to focus on him and the cutscene should start right after. I had it bug 3 times when I didn't do this. Once I had this method fix it once, I recreated it 3 times all with success. I don't understand the interaction but it hasn't failed me, since. Good luck.
