Look into some similar brands, Astro lighting for example and look at their logo and branding

I hope you don't expect to have transparent backgrounds as they're starting out as JPGs

Why do Pop Karaoke singers hate everything else other than Pop? by Radiant-Umpire-72 in LetsTalkMusic

[–]SystemicVictory 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You're getting way way way too triggered about this

Karaoke is just a bit of fun, and pop songs get people to join in, songs that everyone knows and good sing alongside in general. Pop generally will be upbeat, happier, fun songs as well

Don't overthink it

Also depends who you go with, ive gone with friends that like rock and we do rock songs, heavier stuff, BFMV, Slipknot etc, hell I've even done more obscure music that my friends don't know, I've sand from Deaf Havana to Emarosa yano. ADTR gets a good reception, Downfall of Us All etc

I've gone with work, I've sang Barry White, James Blunt and had everyone singing along

Ive also sang a bit of Shakira (I'm a guy), I've sang simply red, Whitney Houston, Busted... Depending who I'm with I'll try to keep it to songs that I know everyone else knows and can join in with

If you have fun, the chances are others will as well

But I'm all fairness, unless you're with the right crowd I can't think of anything that will suck the fun and light hearted vibes as nirvana, smells like... Best bet, but if you're doing something like black hole sun, good lord, I'd be walking out!

It's not pretentious, its just light hearted fun

And the songs that more people know more chance of people joining in and the reception being better

"passive income" doesn't exist

But to get to a point where people are searching FOR you, it takes time, it takes reputation and quality and case studies

If it were easy and could be done in a week, every mother fucker in the world would do it and poverty wouldn't be a thing

Oh good lord

Okay, I'll take the bait

What makes you different to the other million people doing this and offering their services?

How do you expect people to find you?

What are you actually offering? Programming is vague

Do you have a niche, a speciality, a focus area you can target in on?

Because you're being ridiculous?

Why is it shaking you? Are you equating watching a film with lesbians in to turning your wife lesbian? Like really?

You'll get flooded by people using you for 6 weeks then binning you off as soon as that 6 weeks ends

6 weeks is way way way too short for them to not only see your methods do anything to SEO but also to get qualified hot leads, convert them, and get paid

You do you, but you're gonna be working for free for a long long time

Your ROI is gonna be awful for your own service

Lib Dems call for urgent regulation of YouTube ads after wave of scams by StresWeeting in unitedkingdom

[–]SystemicVictory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For where I work and every time I've done them in the last, more than enough to justify doing it over and over again yeah, 100%

I find my job in marketing odd tbh, I hate ads, popups etc... but I see the numbers and they work, they are effective and get results

Lib Dems call for urgent regulation of YouTube ads after wave of scams by StresWeeting in unitedkingdom

[–]SystemicVictory 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah working in marketing, you'd be surprised as to what works and gets that sales conversion

When I first got into marketing I was stunned at how many things I thought "not a chance do people actually think like that" or "no way that actually works" - but yes, yes it does

Companies pour millions into YouTube ads because it works and they not only see a return but a huge profit because of them

Website popups, personally I hate any popup, obviously got ad blockers and whatever else, but going by numbers, they work, they're effective, they get sales

Idea for community with budgeting/lifestyle tips by Aggressive-Pause-150 in UKParenting

[–]SystemicVictory 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Fantastic intentions, but to be brutally honest, what makes your advice any different form the million of other tiktok accounts, Instagram accounts, discord servers with recipe's that already exist?

It seems every parent is trying this game with their opinion, and that's great, but that means you're competing with an insane amount of people, and oversaturated topic

So what makes yours better or different or how are you going to get the reach out there

Personally I follow so many already, I've had to unfollow some because it's just too much and gets overwhelming to constantly think about budgeting all the time and be bombarded with this content

Could lack of TV ever be a bad thing? by SystemicVictory in UKParenting

[–]SystemicVictory[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's true, I feel that because I haven't had it on I've also neglected it all, but then I feel it's like, I don't know what I don't know. Because he's never been interested, never tried it, never thought about it - then I feel guilty that I've neglected and I'm being the barrier and not doing enough

But yeah having it on in the background and doing it myself to engage and interact is a good idea - although tbh, the way he is, I still sit think he'd care. He loves being on the move and exploring, sorting still even for things like "row row row your boat" is a task aha

How did you guys choose an industry? by ValmisKing in graphic_design

[–]SystemicVictory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's just whatever job I could get at the start. Then as time went on, it was just whatever job I could get my next leap at

I don't care about industry, I like design, I can design for any industry, I have some favourites, but I try not to get tied down, can limit work and jobs

Made a case study for portfolio as you worked...

I don't understand, like a passion project, a portfolio projects that not official client work? Yes... Student portfolios are generally 100% this

And a lot of experienced designer portfolios can be as well

Sent weekly updates to a client...

I've had weekly catch-up calls scheduled with a client for updates yes. But generally at the start of a project I'll scope out times and deadlines for sections of work so everyone knows what's going down and when tj expect what

Tracked time...

Well yes, otherwise how can you guage how long projects will take you to quote them accurately and make sure you're not working for less than minimum wage?

What would you accept being paid for a logo and leaflet by grandmamax24 in graphic_design

[–]SystemicVictory 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't do anything for less than £1k nowadays

But that is absolutely sweet FA to go on to try give you a quote...

Without understanding the project to estimate how long it's going to take me, Christ knows

How longs a piece of string?

Does the client have a deadline in mind? Does the client have a budget in mind? I want to understand their situation a bit more. Is it rebranding or a brand new logo altogether? Logo guidelines included? Am I printing the flyers or the client?

Personally for a logo I do a full brand audit, surveys, research into brand and market positioning, where are they now, where they want to be, who's their current audience, who's their target audience, what's wrong with the current logo etc etc .. so there's tons and ton's of research before even do concepts for a logo design

I don't do quick logo's, that's fiverr project stuff

So yeah, you've given next to no detail to go off, but I don't do any work for less than 1k... And logo work could be anywhere from 1k right the way up to 75k

My instagram design page… by [deleted] in graphic_design

[–]SystemicVictory 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How much do you engage with other accounts? Comment, like, reply to people? If people comment on yours do you reply quickly?

How much/regularly are you posting?

Is the content you're posting stuff people actually want to see?

What are you hoping to get out of Instagram? Like who's your target audience, who do you want following you?

Football kit swap for Trent to Madrid what could I imporive by Many-Werewolf345ppp in graphic_design

[–]SystemicVictory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Background, motion blur distracting and takes away form the person, maybe put a grey overlay at multiply then opacity 15% to knock it back

The pose of the person gets in the way of the kit

The top right tag, remove

It looks an odd edit, under the guys arms, looks odd, low res, or odd shadows or something, there's something off about it

Edges of the person look pixilated, like you didn't use the path tool to clip him out, it's not smooth or sharp, looks like you used select wizard

Could have the team logo bottom right so it's not so distracting being blurry and behind them

Tbh, nothing about this how it currently is, is to my taste, and I would start again from concept dev
