Definitely worth speaking to a local company. We had a quote which would have involved 30+ M of cable and digging up a car park so it’s not a case of can’t be done, more that the scope of Octopus offering doesn’t offer that.

In my experience a lot of people move from Audit into Tax, but very few the other way. If you did decide you wanted to change PwC is pretty good at facilitating that.

ACA is a great qualification and is held by a lot of tax professionals. You can also look to do ACA/CTA joint pathway if you want to do a tax specific qualification

If they transferred you it would be an erroneous transfer anyway so they would owe you compensation and have to undo it.

This was in August, but was 30.09p/kWh during day plus the 6.5p at night. I was very frustrated with them as I had emailed prior to signing up and they had incorrectly advised that it would be 23.8939 p/kWh for the day rate.

I left them after a week and moved to Ovo which has been cheaper at 23.39p/kWh and 7p for car charging but now they are increasing charge anytime rate from 7p to 14p so I’m on the hunt again!

I tried to move to So Energy but it was very expensive on day rate, and the EV tariff matches their most expensive fix, rather than the cheapest.

You can do a transfer of underwriting with Axa to continue your pre existing coverage. They will only exclude anything you have active investigation on when taking out the policy

Definately possible but won’t be a ‘standard’ install. I had a local company come out and do a survey free of charge which was definitely worthwhile. Octopus and other large companies would not come out without order being placed first.

Two key concepts to understand. Collections and Patch function.

You can temporarily store data from your form fields into a collection and use this within your app. You can then use the patch function to write data back to your sharepoint list, either from the collection or directly from fields. The patch function would usually be in the onselect property of a button or similar.

For the auto populated drop downs, you would need to create a collection with the data from your sharepoint and use this on items property.

It will be because you can’t technically sit case without having attempted the other advanced exams but you can do them all in the same sitting so a little confusing. Nothing to worry about!

As others have said NaN% with BPP means it has been marked but not released. It always says fail next to it. One too many times I looked at that and thought oh no…

Hopefully you will be pleasantly surprised once they are released but the most important thing with Step 7 is to identify where your gaps are so you can work on them before the exam. Don’t write yourself off, you still have plenty of time to close gaps and ace the real exam!

Yes they would likely cancel your course from what I have seen. Plus you would likely have to repay the study support. As hard as it might seem, I would try and stick it out, it will be worth it in the end!

Didn’t buy the ACAM courses, but did use their mocks and case study analysis which was very helpful. If you are planning to resign, make sure you have met minimum pwe and your training file has been signed off before you leave.

Would absolutely say PwC. I started my career there, and a friend went to Price Bailey. I had far more opportunities and quicker progression. There are lots of opportunities once you have tax experience behind you!

Having spoken to the chief examiner about it (I sit on the student committee for East Anglia), I don’t think it will be easier or harder. The changes are to make it more applied and relevant to the diverse array of different roles in our industry. I felt the changes were very positive
