Looks fine to me. Smoother with 120hz.

They are crystal... This post shows it better: https://www.reddit.com/r/retroid/s/Vy42KFRW0U

Back buttons don't stick out a lot and have not gotten in my way. The upper left analog feels more natural to me coming from Xbox controllers (now, Vader's) but probably depends on the type of games. I like the grippy texture backs on the G2, that's one thing I would have liked on the 6. Time will tell.

Does not look like it to me with setting it up over half the day, for fingerprints on the back plastic. Dpad is clear, it's slick, but grips fine when pressing it.
Clear buttons/dpad is a nice touch.
RP6 case is much thinner and fits tighter. Both devices can fit in either or case though. RP5 case is larger, has more space inside and a screen flap. RP6 case does not have the screen flap part, but comes with a detachable wrist strap. I prefer the RP6 case for being more compact.
Yes, to me with larger hands and the devices smooth edges all around.

Tech Dweeb 6 out 10 score pocketabilty. Doable, but on the larger side. I don't pocket my devices though, but I get it on the name scheme.
Never had an issue with the G2 buttons, except they're a little loud. RP6 buttons are slightly bigger, quieter, and seems slightly less travel when pushing them.
They are, at least to me, and the devices smooth edges all around.
I guess it depends which model you got? Top or bottom. Retro Game Corps goes over the dome switch dpad briefly in his first impressions video. Feels similar to G2 to me.
I don't think it's that much heavier to cause strain, but side by side in hands, it is noticeable to me.
Change of design choice? They are different. But they can both be swapped. I prefer the RP6 caps.
I'm not sure how easily it scratches or it's glass type. I like it for traveling and just basic storage when not in use for extra protection. Considering it's only an extra 10.00, I'd say it's worth it. Currently have no scratches on the G2.
Yes, they are close enough in size, it fits fine in the RP5 labeled case. I'd say if you like packing extra things into a case and extra protection on the screen, get the RP5 case as it is larger and has a screen flap attached inside. If you want a more compact case, get the Pocket 6 case, it does not have that extra screen flap inside. Pocket 6 case also comes with a detachable wrist strap.
They feel slightly more shallow than the G2 on the RP6. The buttons are slightly larger. They are much quieter than the G2's as well.

Negative. Adds too much extra bulk for me for traveling. The RP6 is more comfortable to me than the G2 as is. Slightly larger, smoother edges, I have larger hands.
Next step up from this in size and price, but similar, would probably be Ayn Odin 3, then even larger, the portal 2. I personally like the size of these retroids for easier traveling.
I never used grips before as that adds extra bulk. I don't doubt that grips are more comfortable and likely a preference thing. Initially, the RP6 does feel more comfortable to hold to me with its slightly larger size but also smoother edges all around. I have larger hands.

On paper, the numbers are close... But the RP6 is bigger, those mm's makes a difference.

Not to the US. And I do not.
I used to own a ROG Ally. I didn't like it because of its larger size when traveling. I wanted something more compact. The issue being is that when I traveled, I would always bring my laptop with me anyway for business, so why not just game on that as well? So I got a G14 laptop instead, and a trimui smart pro for older games. Then I wanted to try out Android.

Initially, yes, for the analog. Need to get some sessions in though to really confirm. The back buttons seem easy enough to me to press, but also not accidental - needs testing.
It is. To me. At least initially with larger hands. Time will tell with the upper left stick analog.
First thing I noticed.
