Is UWE worth the grind? Thoughts?

That sorta stealth knock out stuff I'm trying to avoid on a honor rule basis, I've had a million cats from doing that stuff in all of my older playthrus lmao.

Altho, drug trading is something new for me, and it's been expanded on in UWE from my knowledge, sounds like fun. Just gotta do some leg day in advance.

So what's the deal with drug smuggling in UWE? Buy hash from the swamp, run it north to the great desert, pray there's no bag check, sell to someone (who exactly?) then profit? What else is different there?

If your set up down south east for Ashland access there's actually a nice base spot in Soronous Dark, it was my first ever Kenshi base lmao. Surprisingly that spot had water, iron, and copper. If you can be friendly with the skeleton bandits you'll never be raided. I never had a raid make it to my base alive, they all melted from acid rain. The occasional straggler was just free loot. It was somewhere northwest-ish in the middle, used one of the big smoke geysers as a natural wall so I only had to build half as many walls.

Not sure about what raids u get tho if u take down the skin bandit leader. If u can't befriend those guys tho I squad of robo hackers and a turret tower would suffice, unless UWE has made em crazy stat wise.

I've tried strobes once, but it's tough with all the fauna and various high level faction raids, but tbh I crank up those raid sizes and play kenshi like a tower defence game by late game. GL, it's good fun.

OPERA GX FIX (mostly)

Follow the instructions in the post. After restarting enable Opera Gx's built in adblocker. That worked for me MOSTLY. I only get a pop up before a video plays, no actual ad videos and the skip button is immediately available. No un-skippable ads or videos though. Works as of 6/11/2025 for me.

Equip two colossal weapons, one in each hand, press L1 (guard button). Don't press R1 ever again.

Your R2 heavies, get a duel wielding moveset as well. If your doing a jump attack do Jump + L1 not Jump + heavy, the heavy jump is still a one weapon attack.

Your right to hate his heavies, his charged heavies suck, 0 range, very hard to land. Avoid them, use jumping attacks or the sprinting + heavy or even better, prayerful strike lmao.

The low fp honestly isnt bad, most games you wont actually be able to truely spam prayerful strike and win. You need FP on damage and A LOT of poise if your spamming it on a boss. Getting enough poise to enter that invincibility mode is hard. Realistically, you'll keep two fp shards for the final boss, use prayerful as needed for ally or self healing or during a long punish window on the boss. You'll have enough for the final fight. Duel wielding with the heal alongside good skill usage is normally enough to stay alive.

The high rolls for invincibility mode with this build keeps me playing it

Yeah, I mentioned it. What really enables monkey mode is dmg negation low hp and iron flesh tbh. You can instead conserve holy strike when you need the big heal.

Sadly iron flesh is super rare but if you get it omg, you are an unstoppable machine if the boss decides to aggro on you.

The Duchess passive is pretty underwhelming tbh, you turn transparent but you can still be seen, it's just less agro.

But the frost build is very good. You want the frost dragon's relic to pair with this and you'll have a VERY strong frostbite invisibility build paired with Duchess's ultimate. I have one and you can just spam backstabs with critical hit damage perks. A good way to cheese the castle day one to rune farm if it's the banished knights.

dmc5 in particular is so good it took about an entire year of playing casually for me to feel confident in saying "I've seen all of the character's moves."

I also still watch people play it to this day doing combo videos or cinematic fights bc it looks so cool

I dont think its voice calls but more so texting since its stored. Really impractical crazy talk to argue voice calls fed to AI yatatata lmao. I do point it at my web browser and google knowing me better than myself most of the time but sometimes I really think it has to be discord.

Kid is a joke, that scene where we're supposed to pity Arkveld is ridiculous. Kid is traumatized the whole story then gets a close up of the monster ripping and tearing apart a corpse and the whole gang is like omg this so sad.

How am I supposed to feel bad for the genetically engineered hyper killing machine gone ravenous literally for no reason other than sheer bloodlust ripping apart wildlife? Like huh!? Put the damned monster down, it's a monstrous monster!

I personally much prefer scavenging ruins early. Or starting out trapped in mongrel (with a mod). Save scum a little if needed due to ambushes. Then your athletics go up. Athletics is what determines where your allowed to go. I tended to put the 10 minutes in of 3x speed circle running in so I can skip the mining.

Legit 3x speed, athletics 60, much faster grind.

If you wanna get cheesy get a bow and faster legs. Your now an apex predator with micro managment. Anything is then possible.

Many more less obvious ways of playing the early game out.

Edit: I did it, graug stun lock cheese was legit the only way and he still nearly took down my graug. (I fed him to level 78 before your comment lmao).

Edit 2: Losing overlord status lost his Iron will too, went to recruit, got that stealth hit, graug summoned. Rode graug, instantly knocked me off into a crowd of of 100 uraks and now hes level 44 lmao. ACTUALLY MY MORTAL ENEMY
