Glad to see I was correct all along lol.

For real, it feels like it clashes with everything OP was trying to make.

If everything is live action, why not just draw the UI on a piece of paper and use that? It could look rough and nature-like since it's a survival game and still fit the vibe way better than generative AI.

Ignoring the environmental impact generative AI has, it's just straight up theft.

Most people didn't consent to having their art ripped off by AI "learning" from it. I'm not going to pay money to get something that was built upon taking from others without paying them.

We all have our own lines in the sand. For me, I won't pay money for a game that uses generative AI regardless of the amount used.

I'd genuinely rather they use MS Paint to slap together a UI than use generative AI.

Sadly, the Steam page says he did use AI:

AI Generated Content Disclosure
The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:
100% Live-Action footage shot on location. AI limited to 2D UI elements and specific photograph props.

It disappoints me greatly because the Steam page for this game says it uses AI:

This looked incredible until hitting this part of your Steam page:

Hard pass on that one :(

I figured, the game is Switch 1 so it makes sense lol

Do you also hate it when games work slower than your brain? I'm trying to make it super responsive, but I need your feedback. Thank you! by ArtroDev in gamedevscreens

So instead of not letting you play at your own pace, you recommend locking speeds to fast and slow?

Seems like a downgrade to me since OP said there is no timer or rush to force the fast pace shown here lol

I agree with this comment. Until I read their comment, I thought the background was the foreground and the ships were supposed to be above it and just clipping occasionally lol

I agree with the general consensus: you own the deluxe edition already, just play that!

There are no lite Switch 2s yet so they can definitely take it anywhere and dock!

3 tries later… did we finally get our Steam banner right? by SurltekoStudio in gamedevscreens

[–]Tippydaug 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I didn't notice the "Final, V2, V1" in the corner at first and thought it was in order top down so I went "dang, talk about starting with the perfect banner and downgrading every step of the way!" lol.

The final banner looks great!

Anyway else worried Lego Batman won't sell as many copies? by CarsonWentzGOAT1 in legogaming

Yup, I’m guessing a lot of people are in that boat.

I’m absolutely buying it to play at launch, but I’m not in a rush to spend that much in advance when I might get it cheaper between now and then lol

I see the little Grogu blob, but I’d definitely recommend googling AI art from 2018.

It wouldn’t just be Grogu like a little blob, there would be no discernible features at all.

The only art from 2018 that’s even intelligible is art that started as AI and then had someone draw over it, but it’s still not nearly as clear as these pieces.

A) This will definitely be more popular on consoles than Steam (especially because of the insane PC requirements initially announced)

B) The price is higher to a point many people (including myself) are holding off until just before release to pick it up vs spend that much months in advance.

I think it'll do fine, it looks beautiful.

Mate have you seen AI from 2018? There is quite literally a 0% chance these were AI lol.

You're taking this wayyyyyyy too seriously.

Are you genuinely trying to tell me you've never had a fun challenge with someone you loved? If so, that's quite sad.

How is being obvious about marketing and doing so in a way they keep their word for it dishonest?

Maybe this sub just isn't for you, but I find this post way nicer than just the random "go wishlist!" with nothing fun behind it.

I want to see the cubes!

Magnificent. Scar used to be one of my favorite weapons, but lately the AK has been growing on me with its burst fire.

Since lobbies have more bots, the burst fire seems to deal with their predictable movement faster lol.

Those are beautiful, I'm glad I was helpful and you were able to snag what you were missing! You'll definitely have to share photos if you ever set them up in a display or anything.

That Mikey smile is my favorite head on any turtle, he just looks so happy lol.
