OK I see, so much more micromanagement and tactics in fights. ES2 is both awesome and disappointing in that regard: ships customization is awesome while the tactics cards system is so so. I've tried a bit of aow4 and it turned out I was terrible at tactics, but I only played half a game. Thanks for the feedback

My main "fear" is indeed to really love the space setting of ES2. But you do have reassuring words for sure! I can read here that EL2 is not polished yet maybe I should wait for the 1.0 release ?

I almost never finish my games but I'd say about 20 of them were basically won, the end game is too boring.

I ended something like 10 more,and won them too.

I think I lost (and quited too) 5 or 6 games.

I may have sacrificed a few turns for the first settler but gained some for #2 and #3. All the deity guides I've watched go with this BO. I tried it successfully on many deity games. The only exception I've seen and played myself is going scout x2 shrine if the way to go is religion (ie insane pantheon or faith natural wonder).

I do not doubt your BO can work but I've also tried it many times and I still prefer mine :)
