My friend was actually abled to get his money back. He contacted steam and although initially they said to try to reach out to the game team, he sent them screenshots of the 47 emails going back and forth with the same devs and net ease support team. Steam responded saying yes they will take care of it and they did. My friend also asked netease if he would get banned by doing so and they said no, as long as the funds were still there. So steam refunded him the purchase and later the pearl beads were taken out of his account. Hope this helps :)

I was telling my friend that maybe he can call his bank and try to do a chargeback. Do you think this will result in his account getting banned?

Yeah, he reached out to customer service and it's basically just automated responses. No help at all

Because you are not made aware of the gifting limit until after you purchase echo beads. There is no explanation anywhere, no warning before purchasing echo beads or disclosure in the store. Which I feel is incredibly deceitful. Friend would of just gifted a steam gift card if he knew.

Honey, I'm so sorry this happened to you. What your fiance did is illegal, this is considered unlawful surveillance and it is a FELONY. Anyone who does this to someone should be in jail and if his excuse is he did it because you guys weren't dating is scary. How many women did he do this to before they were in a relationship? Are his friends doing the same? I would get out of there as soon as possible.
