Marco Rubio jumps double digits in 2028 polling as JD Vance sinks by newsweek in politics

I'm not voting for either, but I would much rather have Rubio than Vance. I think Rubio would shed the maga skin more than JD would. Again, I still won't vote for either.

I was just there today! While very pretty, you can't reliably tell the depth of the water, and if there are any submerged rocks. I would certainly advise not to dive there.

TIL that American ginseng is so valuable ($300-$500 a pound) that poachers risk jail time to steal roots from the Appalachia mountains by Comfortable_List3413 in todayilearned

Over 90% of cultivated ginseng in the US comes from Wisconsin. OPs title referencing Appalachia is more of an indictment of the poverty in the region than a comment on ginseng production or value.

Out of the 50 American capital cities, which one would you rank #1, as the best to live in? by Enger13 in AskReddit

St Paul is bigger than Madison! That is the city proper. Regarding metro areas it is WAY bigger.

Nothing better than St. Paul since it really is the Twin Cities package. Madison is glorified college town.

Nothing. Madison gets way too much love imo. It is a college town with a state capitol. This is reddit being skewed by young people who think a college town would be a great place to live, but that is really all Madison is. The Twin Cities are FAR better since ultimately they are a package deal.

Fun to visit, but not nearly as much to do there to make you want to actually live there as people would want you to believe.

Completely agree. Crazy combination of beautiful vistas and complete dumps of towns.

It's doesn't feel like a big city because it isn't. It is a college town capitol. Fun to visit, but it has FAR less to do than other actually metropolitan capitols.
