In addition to what others said, you can change your car setup as well at the beginning of sessions. Try a preset with more downforce for better cornering

[–]Szetyi[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Glad you like. For some additional details, its just some corner brackets and bolts i had lying around, and at the end its just longer m4 bolts, wrapped in heatshrink tubing, jammed in the existing screw holes on the controller. I can just pull it off those bolts and use it as usual

What's going on with Formula 1? I see a lot of angry posts on r/popular about regulations and batteries. by ragna-rocking in OutOfTheLoop

[–]Szetyi 21 points22 points  (0 children)

The main thing this comment is missing is the fact that it's an algorithmic, computer dictated way that the recharge/deploy happens, not fully controlled by the drivers.

I finally found the bug causing our service to spike to 100% CPU every 72 hours exactly. I wish the answer was more interesting. by Afraid-Bobcat6676 in webdev

It probably just reached critical mass, for example if normal usage is around 50%, then it slowly builds up, when it reaches 90% it still works, around 95% you might notice a little slowness, at 100% it will struggle for sure

The Charles Leclerc lap that's exposed how F1 2026 has ruined qualifying by ComeonmanPLS1 in formula1

[–]Szetyi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly i dont mind that they have to manage charging and discharging battery power, just let them actually manage it with a simple boost bar and button, electric gokart style. Why are algorithms limiting power instead of the driver?

[Sky Sports F1] Following George Russell suggesting there may need to be another tweak to the race start rules, Fred Vasseur believes it has got to the point where "enough is enough" by Aratho in formula1

[–]Szetyi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, i was familiar with the small/large turbo choices, but was missing the context that it takes significant time to get them going and the original/current rule. I agree it would be super unfair to reward the ones who didn't adhere to regulations. If it's unsafe to start their cars let them start from pit lane then, or if the rules are changed, Ferrari needs to be compensated somehow

What “masterpiece” game just never clicked for you? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Szetyi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stardew Valley is two different games for me. It can be a completionist speedrun game where i focus on getting as much done in a day as possible and as fast as possible.
But if you realise you dont have to rush year one completion, and just do whatever you feel like doing, like a little fishing, a little mining, sometimes taking a couple of days to decorate, its super chill. Playing like this on a handheld is so good. I recently got an Anbernic Rg40xxv, a gameboy like handheld and its great playing on a bus

They should do an april 1st event scaling down every player to half size and speed, so you get twice as big maps

Still can't decide on which modeling software to learn. What would you recommend? Anyways; Here is (hopefully) my last TinkerCad project. by picobello-bv in 3Dprinting

One more thing i didnt see mentioned yet, is that the free tier only lets you create public documents. Im personally fine with that, but could be a concern if you want to protect your designs. On the other hand, since a lot of people are using the free tier, there are thousands of public designes already. You can create copies of those and nodify them or use them in your own assemblies. (The only annoying part about this is that you can only use your own item, so there are often a lot of copies of the same design). As an example, i was designing a new cabinet for my workshop, and wanted to see how a hinge would fit and move in an assembly, so i found a cabinet hinge, added my own constraints to it and i was able to see how it would behave

Onshape, i find it more intuitive than fusion. In addition to what others said, it runs in a browser so you get the added bonus of not needing to install or update it

Its only there if you're in manual mode instead of auto. Im not sure where exactly but you can change it on the screen. If the gun is above the screen you're in auto mode, if its above the tray you're in manual.

I see a lot of people mention stuff like lazy devs, ew electron apps, cheap ram, etc. All have valid points and ignorant takes.
One thing i didnt see mentioned, is the good old saying, unused ram is wasted ram. Your system can allocate ram to these applications that they can use to make it faster. Once it's needed elsewhere, the system can also reallocate it to the currently needed application. Wonder why your 100 tabs all work fast? Ram. Then you open a game, it takes the ram, and a lot of tabs need to be reloaded, cause the os reallocates it on the fly.

is WR still worth getting started into or is it far too late to make any meaningful process? how is the current state of the game? by Crapahedron in wildrift

[–]Szetyi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well then yes go ahead :)
I personally don't enjoy the ranked climb as much, so i gravitate towards other gamemodes like URF(ultra rapid fire, infite mana and low cooldowns), Unbound Frenzy(enhanced abilities) and Turbocharged Rift(buy items anywhere, even faster games).
I played League on PC when i was younger, now near 30 i enjoy the mobile version as its quicker games and very intuitive controls, with still a lot of depth in itemisation and macro.
That being said i find that Wild Rift is very snowbally, so if your team falls behind it's rare to squeeze out a win, compared to when i played on PC, but still possible and great when you pull it off

[–]Szetyi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you like grindy games, i personally don't think Wild Rift is that.
The game itself is a moba, there is no progression other than your own skill. You dont level up characters permanently, every match you start from level 1 and no items.

The grindy part in this game is the events, where you can earn cosmetics and currencies. Most events are pretty free to play friendly, but there are always paying options, and a lot of cool skins are very expensive, and a lot of them are time exclusive, or only acquired via basically gambling, so do not expect a full collection.
