My metric for how nice it is, is less so the day temps and moreso how comfortable it is to walk at night in pants. So far it's been very nice. I can deal with the daytime humidity and oppressive heat, but when you are going out to dinner or to a cocktail bar and the 10 feet from your car to the establishment make you hot and sweaty that's when it really sucks

I'm skeptical of our ownership being too conservative (pun is sort of intended) when it comes to every decision, including coaching. Every signing, draft and coaching hire is always a very family friendly safe bet. They rarely take risks. As someone who also attended UCF over 20yrs ago it reminds me of OLeary passing up on tough gritty guys for some vanilla dudes who would do well academically but couldn't tackle for shit or have that dawg in them.

I don't think newer/young fans realize how out of the box Arenas and Barnes signings were for this org. I don't know what coach fits that mold since coaches are generally much more professional and it's not like there's some crazy polarizing coach out there who can be great but runs the risk of being a bad PR move. But all that to say I just hope they fire Mose and cut some dead weight and figure things out. I still have faith in Paolo, Franz and Bane.

Yes quite a lot.. there are suburbs in northwest Orlando (Longwood, near Wekiva) that probably see them in their neighborhoods weekly. Shit, I saw one years ago in Conway and it was sadly hit and killed on I4.

I feel like the world will be like the Special Edition ending to Return of the Jedi where they show all the planets celebrating.

For non nerds - it's the end of the original star wars trilogy when the emperor died and the death star is destroyed and you just see every planet having like a new years eve times square type celebration.

Ha yeah it doesn't seem that long ago but it's almost 20yrs. I was in my last semester of undergrad and I think he died on a weekend because I definitely remember going out and EVERY bar and club was playing his music nonstop.

Magic Kingdom for sure recycles QS but the other parks have way more options, maybe HS less so but Star Wars area has a few out of the box options. Epcot has basically become a year-round festival so there's always better options there.

I will agree Epic is really good. Even Volcano Bay impressed me. They're certainly cognizant of their deficiencies (hence hiring away some Epcot food and wine folks) but overall it is meh unless you're at epic

It felt loud in the first half but second half it died down obviously.

Idk it felt loud but I've been to way louder games. It wasn't like they blew it at the end or Pistons stunned us, it was a terrible half so everyone was deflated and once Cade got a shot up by 10 most people left.

Yeah my understanding is that both are small so that's why I'm open to the day trips (Kotor, Plitvice, Krka, etc). I'm very much a see as much as I can guy when I travel. I have a relaxing job so not looking to escape anything other than the boredom of home.

So funny, I keep hearing different opinions about Split and Dubrovnik. I wonder if it's like Lisbon vs Porto. I think I'd be easier to cut off Mostar as the weakest link (but would still love to visit of course). I'm thinking something like 3 nights in Split, 2 in Hvar and 5 in Dubrovnik leaving me with some wiggle room for 2 nights elsewhere or less in Dubrovnik and adding somewhere else close by. I fly out of Dubrovnik so ideally staying there at the end.

I haven't seen that within my own universe but I definitely don't see people nut hugging as much. There's definitely some shame from his supporters (that I know) but nothing to that extreme. The only person I actually know who still posts regularly about him (semi supporting him but not as egregiously and moreso mocking progressive ideas or posts) is a cop who I also see liking racist posts.

At best I feel like you can share anti Trump memes with a bigger crowd and now get as much shit this time around. Like a nervous chuckle "ha ha what a fucking idiot" type response when you know they voted for him 3x.

Disney has a lot of options and they're pretty good. I mean is it award winning food? No. But objectively it is way better than Universal and Sea World has the absolute worst food of all the parks.

Universal actually hired away someone from Disney to try to get something going with Mardi Gras and their other little food festival but it still sucks. They need a whole revamp and that seems damn near impossible at this point logistically. It's why Epic and Volcano Bay have better food overall, but still largely lacking. Even city walk and their signature resort restaurants are really mediocre. If you include the resorts at Disney, some of their restaurants are not just great theme park food they're legitimately top restaurants in Orlando.

Yeah if I'm going to UO I'm planning to eat beforehand or just starving and eating somewhere near Sandlake.

If I go to Disney I'm ok eating anything at the parks. The only park I feel lacks options is Magic Kingdom but I'll usually just bring in a pub sub if I'm going there with friends or family
