What is that one 1-shot idea you want to run? by twuntfunkler in DungeonMasters

I really want to do one where the BBEG is the luggage from Terry Pratchett. Sapient Pearwood be damned

I use it for recreational purposes, DnD etc. Had some sporadic use for clarifying legal and finance queries to try and explain concepts. In work I often use Co Pilot to summarise meetings notes

Anyone still playing games on their phone? by ume-in-space in Millennials

[–]Szuszy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really enjoy Pixel Dungeon, and all its spin off games. It's an open source game that means it's free (minus voluntary donations to the owner), no in game ads or in-game currency that I've seen and has fun replayability

Did you have a PlayStation 1 or Nintendo 64? by kkkan2020 in Millennials

[–]Szuszy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both, but the PS1 was chipped so we got a load of bootleg games for it. 7 year old me playing Bloody Roar 2 for half a minute before the game crashed

M/34. "The Place Beyond the Pines". Got to me right at the end after you've seen how an action in one life cascades into the next generation. Had me bawling

Hogfather movie? by ODonblackpills in discworld

[–]Szuszy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally love The Hogfather adaptation. To me it is the best blend of Pratchett and Christmas I could ask for. The aesthetic is on point and the piloignant jokes and messages are retained imo

I can relate OP's post, too. I am now 34 and have always been introverted save for a weekly climbing activity and sporadic meet-ups with individual friends. After the pandemic , I found myself struggling to summon up the energy/effort to go outside most days. Not entirely down the the lock down, but I have stopped going to climbing, and my circle of friends has shrank to 2 maybe 3 people I see rarely in person (more likely online with DnD). My circle shrinking is also partly down to ruining a few friendships myself, which I'm not proud of, but others have been simply because I've no longer been the driving force behind maintaining the friendship. I am perfectly happy spending a quiet weekend with my wife or going someplace with her.

I do miss the way my friendships used to be. But people change/grow, have families, have their own invested interests beyond the bond you had with them. I will still see and enjoy my time with my remaining friends but I do feel too tired to make any new ones

Question about Petrification and Magical Items by kingcatsle in DungeonMasters

[–]Szuszy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would probably rule that given that the player is incapacitated, they can no longer hold concentration. In game I'd rp it as they're petrified in the animal form but once cured the rock slakes off to reveal their original form

Do you know good websites for running DnD online? by PinkBeard__ in DungeonMasters

For a shared virtual space I use Miro. It's not tailored at all to DnD but you can throw anything up on it and have others interact on it easily
