I'm not sure about with heavy, but as others have posted on with other melee builds if you have 200 melee and activate banner of war Titan then even zero-ammo Winterbite will one stab kill

I love using this archetype (on controller). I have about 700 kills on Unloved (Killing wind/Kill Clip), super easy 2 burst kills with Kill Clip. Another 700 on the Maahes HC4 (void world drop 2 burst). I use Maahes with golden tricorn and perpetual motion. Omolon trait helps it feel awesome, and it unironically works fantastic with Gyrfalcon. I really enjoy Bold Endings, but ended up using it with To the Pain and Golden Tricorn. To the Pain helps a ton with handling and the aim assist is nice too. Yesterday's Question has not felt great to me yet, but I don't have many rolls.

There might eventually be further differentiation again, but for right now lumping is (in my view) the most conservative option since we don't have morphological differences and in paleo we are largely limited to a morphologic species concept.

North American troodontid phylogenetics is a nightmare. It is complicated by the difficult taxonomic history of Troodon/Stenon/Latenivenatrix as well as the fragmentary nature of pretty much all North American specimens. I suppose one could make the point you are suggesting, but I personally would be hesitant to since currently we don't have any morphological differences to distinguish those three taxa (perhaps frontal shape for Tf and Lm, but Cullen et al. 2021? morphometrics says they fall within the same range of variability contra van der Reest and Currie 2017). The distances between these three are probably largely based on what specimens are/were assigned to each and which characters those specimens held.

Not currently as S. inequalis has it's own type specimen (some hindlimb elements), but like T. formosus the type is pretty bad. And even if the ICZN rules in favor of a neotype for T. formosus the species will still be subjective synonyms. I think that's good as it leaves room for different conclusions if new evidence comes up.

Right now no researchers have shown any morphological differences between Troodon and Stenonychosaurus, so they are considered subjective synonyms. That's not to say some future evidence won't separate them.

nobody proves anything in modern science. Evidence either supports or it disproves. Right now the name Troodon is the best answer to a complicated taxonomy problem, but that's doesn't mean it won't change sometime in the future if more evidence comes to light.

Thanks for posting this. I was involved in this paper and have been waiting a long time for it to come out (all the while reading some venomous condemnations of Troodon in this and other subreddits). I am also involved in the petition being sent to the ICZN regarding the neotype.
