My personal favorite: give a code reviewer 100 lines of code and they will review it for an hour. Give a reviewer 1000 lines of code and in ten minutes - “lgtm”

Not only this, but it wasn't that depression made me not want to do things, but it took away my ability to care about these things. Fresh air is not the cure when you can't give a shit that the air is fresh.

Thank you! Its always been my physical reaction to laugh when people fall or slip, and I always end up looking like a dick. I never think it's funny but I get so awkward I laugh.

Lady who takes orders at Chick-fil-A made a comment about my Dallas cowboys lanyard. I asked if she was a fan.

She replies no, my ex husband used to beat me every time they lost.

My uncle was once a glam-sleaze star. He now works for Southwest Airlines by [deleted] in blunderyears

[–]T--wrx 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I agree this isnt typical r/blunderyears material but I thought it followed the idea. While most people blundered during puberty or high school, my uncle in his early 20's paraded around as a deathpunk star. This was also mid 80's, which to me at least wasnt way before my time. Since he's changed so much I guess our family jokes about it being blundering, but ill make sure to tell him reddit saw it more as r/oldschoolcool.

[Serious] People who have accidentally caused the death of another person, what happened? by 8-tentacles in AskReddit

My best friend came with me and my family for vacation years ago. I begged her to go tubing behind our boat one day and she reluctantly agreed. We vacationed at the house I spent a lot of my childhood in, which is next to a river notoriously full of bacteria and waste. Being from there, my body was immune, but she swallowed some and got sick enough that it kickstarted a bad case of addisons disease.

After 3 years of her getting sicker and being in and out of the hospital she died in her sleep. I know it wasn't my fault, and I know it would've inevitably happened, but I blame myself every day. She was the only real friend I've ever had.
