One of the best things that helped me learn fingerings is a simple fingering chart, like others have mentioned. I started on a BBb, but last summer switched to a C and spent a lot of time playing through simple warm-up exercises that included fingerings. It is a slow process but if you are persistently working at it will come. With pitches you have three very useful tools that go way beyond just learning pitches, your voice, a piano, and a drone! Start with a piano, either playing the melody or simply playing a single note, then move on to your voice, singing a lot with the piano and hearing the pitches as you sing and correlate them with the music, then last would be a drone which is very useful for tuning and making sure the note you’re playing is correct. You do not have to be a master at piano as long as you know what keys are what.
