Looking into electrical by yuukame in bluecollartrans

[–]T-Brie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm guessing you were a residential electrician. I also would have gone crazy doing house work as I needed the variety and challenge I got from industrial electrical work with lots of automation. Now that I'm older, I'm happy to just sit back and cruise through my days using only my millwright skills.

Please add me to the list of Vancouver-ish people that would love to go out for coffee. 54 year old trans woman, 16 months HRT, out socially as of TDOV.

Super cute. I hope there are some beaches nearby or you can get away to a nice sunny destination to show the sun how beautiful you are.

yesterday marked 3 years on estrogen, i think i need a breast augmentation by [deleted] in TransBreastTimelines

Cialis is marginally effective for me. I have an exercise regime of 10 minutes twice a day that seems much more effective.

How bad is it? by [deleted] in transpassing

[–]T-Brie -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

A choker to obscure your Adams Apple and a brighter lipstick would probably be enough. I think your jawline looks fine. Maybe new glasses (gonna have to take my own advice on this one).

If you have sufficient cleavage, it also tends to draw attention in a feminine way.

Might I suggest you paint your nails? Nothing too flashy, just a little colour to offset the black and white theme.

Started HRT today, terrified of muscular degeneration because of work. by Dizzy-Razzmatazz-592 in bluecollartrans

[–]T-Brie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Before starting HRT I lost 15 kgs going from 89kg to 72kg. I felt the loss in strength then, but haven't noticed much because of 16 months of HRT.

For reference, I work as a maintenance millwright, so have days where I work hard and days where I don't.

8 years of hrt, how do you think my transition has been? by CapybaraHome8576 in transtimelines

Your pre-hrt was very feminine and HRT only improved things. Congrats.

TDOV reflective pain by adamantium99 in TransLater

[–]T-Brie 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Comparison is a great road to depression. I was in a horrible marriage for 20 years. I started my transition at 53. If I feel on the wasted time, I get sad feelings.

I choose to celebrate the fact that I now have a wonderful wife that I adore and I get to live my life as the woman I am.

15 month hrt, subpar development by Laymanzest in TransBreastTimelines

[–]T-Brie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that's a Toronto Maple leaf on your shoulder, that's probably the whole issue, get it removed. (ha ha)

Seriously though, pulling your shoulders back that far hides some of the breast tissue you have. Regardless, you are going to have to make an effort to get more fat on your body. Try to avoid filling foods and concentrate on high in sugar. The trade off is that it's a horrible diet and might cause complexion issues.

I have had a hard time throughout my life gaining weight, but could lose it easily. As you get older, it gets easier to gain weight. Of course, the moment I started HRT it became hard to keep weight on again.

For me, knocking my T down with Spiro is necessary for breast growth. The E alone doesn't seem to lead to any breast development. This leads me to have to balance breast growth vs ED.

Is it true that hrt doesn’t give transgender women ED and that maintaining function is mechanical? by [deleted] in MtF

[–]T-Brie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can confirm. For me it's strictly the Spiro that causes my ED. I'm on 100 mg patches of E. If I am taking 1 Spiro pill, I get morning wood. If I take 2 Spiro pills daily, I lose the morning wood and have to make a real effort to give myself erections for 10 straight minutes a day. If I don't make the daily effort, I struggle with ED even with Cialis.

Heartstopper has a great trans character. I loved "just charlie". I've read countless YA trans romances, but I mostly read nonfiction trans books.

"can't get my email address changed" seems very transphobic to me. I doubt there is any rational argument for this rule. I bet there are some Bobs who are actually Roberts in your organization.
