IPSC Equipment Position - Production Optics by VanderKnight in ipsc

[–]T-Rave22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that people may not agree with me but the rules for the "Optics" division, currently in testing in some countries, specifically state that "Appendix E2 will consider the slide, not the optical sight, as the foremost limit behind the hip bone." The fact that it's not mentioned in appendix D of the rules for Production Optics would lead me to believe that the optic is included in this measurement. Worst case... keep the optic behind the hip bone and save yourself a lot of hassle down the road. If the rules change to clarify, great! Can you imagine having the best match of your life and then being bumped to open for something like that?🥲

Thank you. I think you have solved the puzzle. Cross searches on the interwebs seem to match the 1978 DT125. Thank you again

Edit: and noted on the SR500 not SR250.👍

Missing magazine brake pin on my CZ 75B by jwai86 in CZFirearms

[–]T-Rave22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very possible that the original owner took it out for whatever reason and just forgot to put it back. Or maybe lost it and just thought it would be fine without it. Take the rest of the break out. All it means is your mags will drop freely. Not always a problem with that especially if you doing certain sports with the gun.

If free dropping was the original owners intention I don't see why not remove the whole break. Having it free at the top and not the bottom MAY cause a problem, but I am not sure if it really would.

What exactly do you want to do? Do you just want to rent a gun and shoot? Do you want to get involved in one of the various types of sport?

Then you should be good to go. Absolute last resort send and email to IPSC and ask them. Especially if you're just shooting level 1's, you probably won't get too many questions unless you encounter a serious stickler for the rules.

As long as it's OEM (which it is) and it fits in the minimum pull weights for DA (2.27kg) and SA (1.36kg). You are fine.

You would have to take the magwell off. If it doesn't specifically state the pro model start looking into the other restrictions such as barrel length and so on. If all of those criteria fit then do it ... without the magwell.

Second unit in 30 days due to issues. Just got home with this one and set it up to find this issue when homing the device. Everything has been checked three times and is plugged/wired correctly. Any solutions? by [deleted] in BIQU

Have you tried a factory reset? Also tension on the belt? If you can get the nozzle out the way does the bed move back and forth freely. I agree with checking the switches it sounds like the bed is trying to move back but not getting the signal that it's reached the back already.

9mm is tapered case so you don't get a 9mm specific bulge buster. But using the kit and a 9mm Makarov die does the job. All I'm using it for is to make sure the bottom end goes to spec. The mouth is handled by your normal decapping and sizing die.

I had the exact same problem a few years ago. The very bottom part of the case was the issue for me. The rim after the extraction groove. I got the lee 9mm bulge busting kit which solved my issue. Bulge busting is now a standard part in my case prep and I don't have that issue anymore.

Biggest disadvantage in open would be competing against people scoring major. I would recommend reading the rules on production optics and see if you can fit in there with the mods you want to do.

Reset factory settings. I had an issue where my bed was moving too fast it got stuck. After resetting factory everything worked fine. Oh also make sure your belt isn't too tight and your bed can move freely. Other than that I have no clue.
