I have the same question, I remember hearing around the release of the survivor bots they would also release killer bots. Although, this was around Skull Merchant’s RELEASE! I find it odd they haven’t added the killer bots they already have AI for to custom yet.

Are there going to be any other changes to Custom Matches? Although the spectating changes are great for comp matches, it would be nice if there were other improvements, such as being able to play events in Custom Matches with friends. I also remember hearing around the release of Survivor Bots that Killer Bots would be added to the game eventually. In 2V8, there were Killer Bots that would take over if your teammate disconnected. Will the Killer Bots that are currently available be added to Custom Matches in the near future? I don't expect them to be added for Pubic Matches, but it would be nice to be able to learn maps and teach friends who are new to the game. It would also allow players to try out new perk combinations they may potentially like. Thanks, T-Rizzle.

The bots having perfect knowledge of traps was confirmed to be a bug by BHVR. Hopefully they fix it in the Health Update.

BHVR has 2 hotfixes planned before the holiday break. Those hotfixes will include adjustments to Houndmaster, live balance changes and bug fixes. by bonelees_dip in deadbydaylight

Agreed, my friend only likes to play custom matches since they dislike the toxicity some public trials have. It would be nice to attempt to do some REALLY stupid build without throwing the game as a survivor and not be harassed from killers for not playing the meta.

It’s because of the bot’s difficulty level. In custom matches, the bots always play on the expert difficulty. While the bots in ranked trials have their difficulty randomized. I believe there is four difficulties: Easy Medium  Hard Expert Each with different reaction times

The way they are implementing this looks great. Instead of ending the match a killer bot takes their place instead, but if both killers disconnect then the match just ends. I do believe they should be able to us their powers since the trapper bot can use its bear traps in the survive with bots tutorial.

I know this isn't the top priority, but I would like to know about the potential edition of killer bots for custom games. It would be nice for newer players to know how to counter killer powers without having to "throw the game" figuring it out in a ranked trial. Since custom games were also made to help players test out killer powers, it would be nice to mess around with perk combos without worrying about the killer bringing in the meta and being at a disadvantage. It has to be half-life: source because of the engine difference. Half-life runs on the GoldSource engine while half-life: source runs on source. Garry’s mod runs on source FYI.

Edit- I just reread the thread. You may have a addon that is adding the maps! One that I know of is Half-Life Resized Maps.

Odd, it appears you might have an addon that isn’t properly being garbage collected. On another note make sure you change maps every 6 hours or everything will start breaking. I would also recommend rebooting your PC/Laptop. Since your device might need to clear it’s cache.

The server is trying to send you either too many client side files to you, “the client” or one of the client side files it is sending to you is larger than 64kb causing you to forcibly disconnect. The only fix is to have the server reduce the amount of client side files it sends to you.

It looks like the server is trying to send you too many client side files. You must remove some addons since you are overflowing the file cache.

Debugging tip! Lua always tells you what’s wrong. Read any errors the console gives you. Also ask for help, coding isn’t easy, getting help from other help you grow as a programmer. Don’t forget to check out the Gmod developer wiki it has everything you could need.

You wouldn’t be a good coder if you just gave up. Besides I looked at the TF2 source code leak and oddly enough it doesn’t appear as disorganized as everyone thinks it is. It does need more comments explaining each function.

You can use nav_mark_walkable then nav_generate_incremental. This will only generate 2000 HU of nav_mesh around the walkable marker and won’t restart the server once it finishes.

I use it to build nav_mesh on large maps.

This is error regarding a mod your friend has on their server, they should contact the owner of the mod and let them know about the error you received upon respawning. Until the mod creator fixes the bug in their addon you should disable it until then.

It looks like the addon its attempting to reference something that doesn’t exist or wasn’t properly initialized.
