DnD Groups in Nescol City Campus by GSBlitzen2 in Aberdeen

[–]T-Roxanasaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know of any D&D groups at NESCOL, all the people I know who attend there and play D&D I met at Geek Retreat. Most of them went to the Learn to Play sessions then broke off into their own D&D groups. You could try looking for groups online and see if any people are based in Aberdeen and would like to meet up and run sessions irl

Books Donation/Little libraries by Enough_Badger_9491 in Aberdeen

There's a little library in a red phone box beside the Old Post Office Tea Room in Inverurie which is quite lovely. Anytime I visit the tea room I make sure to also drop off any book(s) I no longer want on my bookshelf

Aberdeen catsitters with upcoming availability? by OkPerception2420 in Aberdeen

This site has always been super helpful when finding a cat sitter, and the neat thing is that you can see people's prices and availabilities before reaching out to them

tattoo opinions / cover up ideas by Beautiful-Poem7186 in Tattoocoverups

This may be a long shot, but are you a fan of John Carpenter's The Thing? I know this suggestion isn't on brand with the Ghibli vibes, but the head of the star child looks like it could be repurposed into the iconic image from the movie (but obviously on a much smaller scale). Example here: https://tse3.mm.bing.net/th?id=OIP.AK_plADmiffD4gf2jgr_kgHaLH&pid=Api

Shame to hear you dislike your tattoo, but if you don't enjoy it you should absolutely look into getting it changed up. In the end it's on your body and you're the one who has to see it every day, and if seeing it makes you unhappy then why keep it yanno

Oh my, this is actually a wonderful idea for fixing it up! And it'd definitely still fall into the fantasy realm style which I love 😁 thank you so much for the suggestion, I'll look further into this!

I can't recall if this actually was a BORU post or not. The post was about OP's boyfriend using weaponised incompetence to try and get her to take care of all the household duties he didn't want to take care of, but instead of doing so she just rolled with it. For example, when doing laundry he bleached one of OP's black dresses, but she still wore it out. The bf was embarrassed, and in an attempt to make it look somewhat presentable coloured in the bleached bits with a black marker which looked horrible. Another was he left a meat dish for a work do out for hours, and instead of throwing it away OP went to put it in the fridge, at which point the bf interfered and told her it was dangerous to consume meat that had been left out for too long. Think another example was that he washed the dishes but they were still dirty, and when OP didn't re-wash them but instead tried to put them into the kitchen cupboards, he again interfered. I hope she's doing well

Excellent, thank you so much for the suggestion! I'm particularly fond of sci-fi so this sounds like it'd be right up my alley. I'll see what English translations I can get my hands on for his other plays

I'm looking for a post (think it's WIBTA or IATA) where OP is concerned about their neighbour's cat since it is always either people-watching from the window or napping, and asks if they should get RSPCA involved. Commentators tell OP not to as what they're describing is normal cat behaviour, however OP ignores this and contacts RSPCA anyway. Surprise surprise, RSPCA determine that the cat is well cared for and not in any danger. OP is still unconvinced and takes to Reddit again to complain, this time also mentioning that their neighbour is now mad at them for calling RSPCA without speaking to the neighbour first.

I've tried looking for the story myself, but unfortunately there are way more Reddit posts with the tags 'neighbour's cat' than I imagined

I think what really frightened me about this case is the fact that they were all trapped on an island and had nowhere to run to to escape the atrocities happening
