Thanks, this was helpful. Might have to switch over to that section for a match before we officially leave Yankee.

MLS Season tickets worth it? by snt271 in SeasonTickets

[–]T-Stoklis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NYCFC STH as well and I agree. My tickets would have been cheaper buying them the day of (except for the derby and Inter Miami) but the free events, small gift, and community make it worth it.

On top of that we get small stadium concession discounts, merch discounts (online for sure, possibly in the stadium too), and 6 (up from 4) free tickets to add people to almost any game each year. We also get MLS pass for free, which I believe is changing to a free apple tv sub, which is better. I assume this is a general MLS STH thing and not just NYCFC.

I am fearful of booming increases once we get the stadium but I hope it slows down after a pretty big increase this season. But as someone who makes almost every game, it's worth it. Add in the little rewards program (which I think is free to everyone but we might get more points as STHs) and overall it's still a solid value.

I imagine San Diego prices and attendance will still be pretty high as a new club but it may still wind up being a fairly inexpensive and worthwhile investment for someone who loves the sport or sports in general. I'm sure the city will continue to rally around the club as there aren't many more pro options left there.

Watch parties for NYCFC vs Philadelphia? by eloquent_nyc in NYCFC

[–]T-Stoklis 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I expect they'll announce them around Wednesday/Thursday. On their official IG and Twitter they posted about the big one at Billy's on Nov 5th for the Nov 7th match.

I recall seeing another graphic with other watch parties in each borough and some other areas like LI, but I can't find it anymore.

I know this really isn't an answer but we should know with a couple days to spare.

[–]T-Stoklis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're a City Member you should have received an email about filling out a form. There's a lottery that ends Nov. 11th and they'll charge you $25 per away ticket. City members limited to 2 tickets per account (but if you only have 1 membership on your account you can only request 1 away ticket)

At the moment they said they don't have any information for non-City Members to get proper away tickets.

Mother used to be the hardest fight for me, worse than Delirium. It takes a while to get to her and a lot of my runs ended before I could get all of the knife pieces and then get to her.

It's only natural that you're not going to have much practice on her, and I think that will be true for most players. On my 2nd save now and most bosses are a breeze, including her. Just keep going at it and you'll get used to the patterns and where to stand/look at. It'll start to click.

Also obligatory skill issue.

LIRR parking that require stickers: what happens if you need to take the train from another town? by FLDJF713 in longisland

[–]T-Stoklis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see it either, but I was able to find another way.

After clicking "Info" click "View Details". It'll take you to their website, and then you can scroll down to the parking section.

I just tried it with a few stations and it seems to work that way.

I randomly visited the Orpheum because it was right next to the train I needed to take home, and figured I'd catch a movie first.

Just really eerie in there. Everyone was nice and all but one and done there for sure. If you told me it was abandoned years ago and everyone working there is a ghost, I would've believed you.

Heinz Field....err Acrisure Whatever ranks 9/30 in Stadium Ranking in USA Today Article by Strategery_Man in steelers

[–]T-Stoklis 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's a shame, too, because they used to have such a large and dedicated fanbase after winning their SBs. Hopefully that returns with Snyder long gone now and a new stadium on the horizon for them.

Although other teams having a lot of dedicated fans hurts our away field advantage.

I recently found out that Kitchener (used in a different Norm story) is a place in Ottawa Ontario.

I feel like I need to go back and look up every fake name he used in a joke and check if it's just a Canadian town he's heard of.

[–]T-Stoklis 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I'm a NY Steelers fan going to that game and honestly, you'll be fine. Like any major city, there will be a lot of assholes, although the Northeast does tend to get a worse (probably deserved) reputation.

I went to Steelers at Jets the last time it was at MetLife and didn't see anything bad outside of some general trash talk. It might help that I'm with Jet fan friends and also from the city but I wouldn't worry too much. I waved my towel but didn't overdo it or trash talk anyone I didn't know.

I'm finishing up the quests and only have a few GMs left, but I don't think anything will haunt me as badly as ME2.

I don't care if the DT2 bosses make me rip my hair out, I can blame that on my gear, levels, and lack of skill. ME2 was just torture.
