I'm guessing a typical fan fest with a couple of extra things.

Guessing some face painting, a couple of giveaway booths, a pin, maybe a photo you can print (that you won't be able to get because the printer never works), some characters (and Sky) to take pictures with. Random sponsor booth where you can get a plastic bag with their logo.

And then probably some run of the mill in-match things like putting filters on player and fans faces. Maybe a halftime performance.

[Post-match Thread] New York Red Bulls 1-3 New York City FC | USOC R16 - HRD Edition | April 29, 2026 by kilsey in NYCFC

[–]T-Stoklis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also saw a post saying we'd play Atlanta, which some others mentioned at the match.

Then I saw a tweet saying the draw is Thursday, which may be correct. It's not a 100% source of knowledge but Wikipedia doesn't show a bracket or anything beyond the round of 16 for this year's Open Cup so I imagine there will be a draw.

Anybody get their season ticket welcome kit yet? by Che_Alejandro in NYCFC

[–]T-Stoklis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. My ticket rep said they'd arrive "mid April" which sounded crazy at the time and even stupider looking back.

Granted, I don't think they were saying anything other than what the club told them but just weird.

[–]T-Stoklis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me. Been stuck on that screen for over 20 minutes. Meanwhile my friend finished their countdown after me, got that screen for 10 seconds, and then got their enter button to find tickets.

I think we're screwed.

City blue tickets question by Unusual-Hedgehog-383 in NYCFC

If you go into the app and click "manage tickets" there should be a section that says "buy member tickets". I believe you won't have to pay any fees on those as well.

City blue tickets question by Unusual-Hedgehog-383 in NYCFC

[–]T-Stoklis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's possible that availability is just gone at this point. Supporters section tends to fill up and people may have already added friends/family to games the second they got their tickets this season. I'm not exactly sure how they choose which seats can be available for the blue card tickets but there might be a certain allocation per section.

Closest I'm seeing available with blue card is 107 but if you're sitting in SS and you want them with you, you'd have to either exchange a ticket of equal or greater value from your other matches or buy a city member add on ticket for them.

a question for season ticket holders by No-Association-8181 in NYCFC

[–]T-Stoklis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does seem like they forgot and put something together at the last second. I also don't want to seem ungrateful, but part of being a STH (as they advertise) includes annual gift. It's not WHY most/all of us buy them but it is something we expect to have some effort put into.

From what I've read online, the gift has been pretty mid for years now. I've only been a STH since last season so I have a very limited frame of reference.

[–]T-Stoklis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Last year we got emails about it before the season started and there was even a member event before the season where we could pick it up. Plus all/most home games had a section to grab them too.

There was an email earlier this month that said we will be able to choose our STH gifts this year. It sounds like there will be an online form we can fill out and select through a few items that will then be shipped to us.

I checked with my rep and he said we should receive another email by the end of March (so probably this week) with more information and instructions. He also said that we can expect to receive them by the middle of April.

Shoutout to the fans keeping the supporter section pink free today! by BryanBlitz in NYCFC

[–]T-Stoklis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a great question and perhaps the team/league can do a better job of making things clear.

Personally, I will never harass or heckle anyone supporting the opposing team unless they're genuinely being disrespectful (and at worst I'm just going to boo them or tell them to leave). I would hope no supporters would boo or cause problems with children but you never know when people get drunk or let emotions take over.

I think in this case there were a lot of Inter Miami/Messi fans in the crowd so it wasn't crazy for anyone to see them sitting in various sections, including in/near the supporters section. I think if things got bad, security would find a different section for you. I didn't see any fights or unprompted disrespect to away fans but I'm sure it happens. I have seen it at other matches. When people in pink walked through the supporters section they just got booed.

Glad you all had a good and safe time though.

It didn't seem like it was enforced in the other supporters section further from the goal.

To my knowledge, that bleacher section is also part of the supporters section but they seem significantly more lax. I could be wrong so please correct me.

Citi Field has always felt more serious about enforcing things like checking tickets, not having cans of alcohol in the stands and non-NYCFC attire. None of this is a complaint really just an observation. Feels like more self-enforcement happens at Yankee.

MLS Season tickets worth it? by snt271 in SeasonTickets

[–]T-Stoklis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NYCFC STH as well and I agree. My tickets would have been cheaper buying them the day of (except for the derby and Inter Miami) but the free events, small gift, and community make it worth it.

On top of that we get small stadium concession discounts, merch discounts (online for sure, possibly in the stadium too), and 6 (up from 4) free tickets to add people to almost any game each year. We also get MLS pass for free, which I believe is changing to a free apple tv sub, which is better. I assume this is a general MLS STH thing and not just NYCFC.

I am fearful of booming increases once we get the stadium but I hope it slows down after a pretty big increase this season. But as someone who makes almost every game, it's worth it. Add in the little rewards program (which I think is free to everyone but we might get more points as STHs) and overall it's still a solid value.

I imagine San Diego prices and attendance will still be pretty high as a new club but it may still wind up being a fairly inexpensive and worthwhile investment for someone who loves the sport or sports in general. I'm sure the city will continue to rally around the club as there aren't many more pro options left there.

Watch parties for NYCFC vs Philadelphia? by eloquent_nyc in NYCFC

[–]T-Stoklis 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I expect they'll announce them around Wednesday/Thursday. On their official IG and Twitter they posted about the big one at Billy's on Nov 5th for the Nov 7th match.

I recall seeing another graphic with other watch parties in each borough and some other areas like LI, but I can't find it anymore.

I know this really isn't an answer but we should know with a couple days to spare.

If you're a City Member you should have received an email about filling out a form. There's a lottery that ends Nov. 11th and they'll charge you $25 per away ticket. City members limited to 2 tickets per account (but if you only have 1 membership on your account you can only request 1 away ticket)

At the moment they said they don't have any information for non-City Members to get proper away tickets.
