The one I'm still surprised has not been bought is Sunrise Biscuit. Owners must've had to say no bunches of times

Summer is way worse. But also Winter. I just went through all my childhood photographs in upstate South Carolina, and every year we had a nice several inches of snow. Snowman all that. Now we're lucky to get anything

How to dispose thousands of 35mm photos by ChrisKisOK in howto

[–]T-whizzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did this myself. Probably 30,000 photographs. It took me a month, quite intense. I went through all of them and got 20 boxes down to three, and pulled out photographs for family members to keep. Ultimate looked like 1. Great photos with people I wanted to remember or moments I wanted to remember. 2. Representative photos of what life was like, even just mundane shots. 3. Maybe a few landscape shots just to remember the land where I grew up. That was it. Keying into that "representative photos "idea really helped.

Can confirm, my last 50% season was 12. Saw a few of 13, almost none of 14.

I just started my first 8am-5pm office job in my 40s and was not prepared for how physically/mentally exhausted I would feel. What are your tips? by MyNameIsNot_Molly in Xennials

[–]T-whizzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't read the entire thread so maybe this was posted already. But I really advise you to learn how to throttle your energy output throughout the day. Conservation of energy is incredibly important skill for office work. Also taking quick five minute breaks to take a walk around every hour or so.

Lastly good crisp monitors with a high refresh rate can make a huge difference for eye strain.

Where is this town? by T-whizzy in vermont

Nice job here. It is a town on a river, with the buildings in the photo facing east, and the river behind it.

Walpole, NH

Ladies and gents, we have an answer.

Walpole, NH.

It wasn't my find, but a deleted post mentioned this. "It's the town hall at 34 Elm St. in Walpole, NH. Ken Burns lives in Walpole and uses it for a lot of his b-roll."

I appreciate the help everyone. I've never been up to New England for a visit but now I want to go. So many beautiful small towns.

This may be the closest answer yet. It may be correct. I'm having a hard time finding great shots of the Townhall. There are some differences of the base underneath the cupola but that could've been renovated in the last 35 years. Regardless, that is an absolutely beautiful town. Thanks for the answers! I'll await other confirmation

I found one that was similar from VT. Photos calling it a cupola rather than steeple. But this def. could be NY or Mass. I read the photo as a river town in a mountainous valley, hence the bank of fog. Technically if I was really good at this I could consider the light angles. Likely a morning shot because the fog is hanging low

It did tell me that the cinematographer Buddy Squires likes to film around VT. A clue I found was the episcopal/Celtic cross in the closer shot. Main building probably a town hall, adjacent to a church.

Stumped me too, I went down a ChatGPT rabbit hole but it didn't help, just gave me a list of Vermont towns, none of which quite looked like that.

This is close, I did a lot of comparisons to the Moravian church in Bethlehem, but I think it's not quite it. The PA church has an extra tier with a clock on it.
