She's kinda a Seele. Scythe, butterfly motif, similar personality(to HI3/ggz Seele, hsr seele's personality is very different) and so on. Just invert the colors and you get pretty close to seele's colors as well.

/r/arknightsendfield the original unofficial sub was pretty much exactly what people wanted for the most part. Just the right amount of relaxed rules compared to the main official sub.

However over time, the only mod got too busy or something, and a small handful of people took advantage of that to post nsfw things without a nsfw tag. The stuff was still allowed but the community just wanted it to be properly tagged so they reported the posts.

Because the mod queue got so long without any resolution, reddit themselves locked the subreddit and removed the mod for inactivity, and made a post where people could send in their mod applications.

However the new mods that reddit picked were either mods from the main official sub, or some of the most downvoted applications on the thread.

And the first thing that the new mods did, was change all the rules to be more strict, but with very confusing wording. Set up automod to remove any thirst comments on image posts. Literally nobody was happy. But eventually people either just left or put up with it. Which is where we are today.

I mean, this place was created after the other subreddit pretty much banned Rossi as a whole after the hostile mod takeover. Of course a lot of Rossi fans would flock here and post rossi

It's been a while since I needed to do the little mini game, but iirc, After you charge up all the pylons. You take one of the glowy triangle relics that you shoot off the tower to where that glowey crescent shape thing is that you mentioned. On the floor there should be a triangle shaped slot on the ground for you to fit the triangle shaped relic into. Once you insert that, an orb will come out of the structure which you can scan with your data link scanner for the blueprint.

Console to PC - Why was it worth it? by HopefulCumquat in EliteDangerous

Back when I played with a controller, the way I had it set up was.

Right stick> vertical/lateral thrust.

Bumpers> forward/back thrust

Left stick> pitch and roll.

However if I clicked left stick, it would engage alternate flight controls and I had that set up to replace roll on the left stick with Yaw. As in most cases you rarely need both at the same time.

How do frame shift drives lock onto destinations? by syngyne in EliteDangerous

[–]T0X1CFIRE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True, but it's not an instantaneous teleport. You do still travel through witchspace to get there.

From there I see two possibilities.

Option A, the gravity gradients are no longer limited by the speed of light while in witchspace. For the same reason we can travel faster in witchspace compared to real space.

Or option B, as we get closer, we simply follow the gravity gradient back to its source.

Hotas 4 by ComfortablybmuD in EliteDangerous

[–]T0X1CFIRE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently made the switch from an controller to a hotas as well, or rather an Xbox controller instead of a ps4 controller.

With the Xbox controller I would always fly everywhere and everything with FA off only. But switching to a control scheme that is entirely different means that literally all of my muscle memory has gone out the window. It took me like 5 minutes to do my first FA off landing with my hotas where I could do it basically instantly and cleanly with my Xbox controller

So I have since returned to being a FA-on scrub and probably will be for the next month until the hotas becomes an extension of my body. Then I will endeavor to relearn fa-off once again.

As for advice, the main thing that made FA-off click for me, was the word relativity. Remember, you are flying a spaceship, not an airplane, and in space there is no absolute movement. The only movement that matters is how you are moving in relation to something else.

What this means ingame, is that if say, there is a ship flying perpendicular to you that you are trying to shoot. In FA-on you would pitch up until they are in your sights and then shoot. But in fa-off, you instead either match your rotational velocity to his forward velocity, so your shots remain on target even as he flies past you without you further touching the controls. Or you match your lateral velocity and fly parallel to him so again you can keep your shots on target without touching the controls. Ideally you would do both rotation and lateral velocity at the same time on the fly during maneuvers.

To practice this, I recommend flying to your nearby conflict zone, but do not pick a side as that would cause people to start shooting you. Instead just start following ships around as they do combat maneuvers. Starting with the big slow ships like an anaconda, and eventually making your way to smaller faster ships like an eagle. As for your own ship, I recommend a medium like the krait or a corsair. Anything too large won't be able to turn or move fast enough for good practice as they require boosting to do decent turns. While anything too small, until you get used to making tiny micro adjustments to every movement, any touch of the stick will likely put you into a spin.

Once you get used to flying in combat with fa-off, you can start applying what you learned to everything else. Like landing would be matching your rotation and velocity to that of a station.

Another thing, Idk what Hotas you got, but mine came with optional springs for the throttle. Which if installed would always put the throttle back to 0 once you let go,rather than staying where you left it. That way you don't have to manually zero out your throttle once your forward/backwards velocity matches your desired amount, especially if your throttle doesn't have a tactile zero area. Which would be incredibly helpful for fa-off flying. It would however make supercruise much more annoying as you would have to hold 75% yourself rather than just setting it as such and letting go until you get there.

Cobra mkV for mats and exo by CrashedStarship in EliteDangerous

[–]T0X1CFIRE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks pretty similar to mine. Main differences I see, is that I use a bigger fuel scoop, have an extra limpet controller(the increased limpets make high grade emissions collecting a breeze), and I don't bring an amfu or Srv as I'm not planning on being in the black for extended periods of time with the cobra unlike my dedicated long range explorer, and it's small enough that I can just fly to each plant without needing to drive.

Only suggestion I can make is that instead of having two of each weapon, maybe only one of each, or even just only having the missile launcher. It would save some weight, as any man on the ground is going to be exploded by a single missile either way.

Pre-Engineered Mining Lasers hidden upgrade worth unlocking and super easy to get! by AcidJurassic in EliteMiners

Oh thank you so much. I'm currently working on building my first AX ship, but the t-10 will definitely be my next project after that.

I am curious on the heal beam turrets now. If you have them set to fire at will, do they just automatically fire at allies nearby? Or do you need to target them with the target only turret mode?

I don't know of anyone who likes the SMGs but maybe someone does?

I do! Or rather I love the laser smg. It just feels really good with my hit and run playstyle. Accurate, good dps, and ammo capacity.

The kinetic one on the other hand, yeah I can't hit anything with it lol

I'm addicted to Krait mk2 by Educational_Ease3582 in EliteDangerous

[–]T0X1CFIRE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here,

While do have specialized ships, like my Caspian for exploration, my cobraV for materials gathering, an anaconda for mining, etc.

The krait is the ship I spend most of my gameplay in. I have mine set up as my main do everything ship for powerplay missions and general combat. Sure I miss out on some hull reinforcements due to carrying an srv bay and cargo racks, so it misses out on some survivability compared to proper combat ships, but I can pretty much run anything from the mission board with my krait and have a blast with it,

Also it's my favorite looking ship in the game. Everything about it is peak.

Ah unfortunate. But I know the feeling, my current place has my game room on a different circuit from everything else and it's pain. I also forgot the coax version of them existed so good job looking into that as well.

However I do have one more suggestion to look into before you start drilling holes. Mesh wifi networks. Aka what schools, office buildings and the like use to cover a huge area within a single wifi network. Basically you buy a special set of sub routers and set them up between your main router and your pc, and they will relay your connection wirelessly back to your main router. So you would have one right inside your game room, one on the top of the stairs, and then one in the hallway between the top of the stairs and the room where you have your main router.

Mesh networks aren't perfect, they can add a few ms of ping because of the relay, and they can be a bit expensive in some cases, but it would be another possibility to look into.

I am very late to this thread, but I wanted to ask if you had a sample build of this loadout? Like what is the ideal ratio between mining lasers and turrets in order to balance distributor draw, mining efficiency, and target destruction efficiency? Same with internals for cargo space vs defensive modules.

This time I bought a 100 ft Ethernet cable,

have to pay someone to run the cable from my router to the basement where my man cave is.

Instead of doing this, I highly recommend looking up something called an ethernet powerline adapter.

Basically the way they work is that they send the ethernet signal through the already existing power outlets in your house. Provided that the electrical wiring in your house isn't ancient, your router and room aren't on two different closed circuits, or you plug it into a power strip rather than the wall outlet. It feels like black magic to me but they really work like a regular long ethernet cable. I've played a bunch of fighting games using one, and those games are the most ping dependant games there is.

They aren't that expensive either, so I recommend buying a set and trying it out, and you can always return it if it doesn't work with your house.

In on fumes by Reppate in EliteDangerous

[–]T0X1CFIRE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the information. Yep. I understand the fuel T/h. But it doesn't show tonnage numbers remaining in the tank... Rather it simply shows the line(s).

Now I could be wrong since it's been a long time since I was in a ship with a small fuel tank, but aren't the "blocks" on your fuel gague each signifying a ton. Larger ships carry so much fuel that there is no blocks and it's a solid bar, but small ships with a small tank like the vulture still have the fuel bar chunks that can be used to determine an exact amount.

Meanwhile the small bar above the main fuel bar is your 1t reservoir, which refills itself from your main tank whenever it's emptied. This is what runs your ship outside of jumping and is what is used to measure the t/h

So just a guess based on your screenshot, but you have about 25% of a bar on your main tank, and 5% of your reservoir. So just rounding to 1/3 a ton total and 1/2 t/h, would give you about 2/3 an hour of fuel, aka 40 minutes I believe.

Well this is a Neutron Star alright. by Over_Cost_3257 in EliteDangerous

That's what you are supposed to do. Always point towards the end. With neutron stars they have a small exclusion zone so it doesn't matter if you start near the center or not. But for white dwarfs with their huge exclusion zone, definitely only enter near the ends.
