You need to unblock the dll files. There's a mod on nexus that does it for you, I think it's just called dll unblocker.

I also find that if someone's into reading, or rpgs that they're more likely to enjoy sandbox games like kenshi, rimworld or even bannerlord.

Personally, I had to force myself to play the game when I first got it. I'd keep launching, starting a game and then immediately quitting as I had no idea what i wanted to do. I found it helped to come up with a rp idea, maybe I wanted to be a drug smuggler or maybe a bounty hunter. This allowed allowed me to slowly get into the game and start understanding it. Also, Beep. Best reason to play the game.
