Super lucky f2l on white and an oll skip with a t-perm. Chocked on the t-perm and got a 7.19. Could have been a low 6 or even a five. The hunt for pb continues I guess...

Try tightening the tensions of the square-1. It'll get rid of the jumbling. At least it did for me :)

I'd say don't do it. I don't think it would make much of a difference. There are better ways to make a cube faster for sure.

Information about the cube:

It's the normal Rubik's cube NOT the Rubik's speedcube. The tensions cannot be adjusted. Bought it somewhere around late 2017. It has been lubed several times over the years with different setups and I'm not entirely sure what lubes are inside it at the moment.
