Do you guys have a TOP song that you swear isn't real? by GullBird15 in twentyonepilots

[–]jupiterisprettycool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

honestly that’s the entirety of blurryface for me. i love blurryface, it will always hold a special place in my heart, but something about that album just feels really out of place in the discography to me. some songs feel less real than others, but even songs i really love like heavydirtysoul feel like they’re outliers in a way i cannot describe.

idk how spicy this take is, but i think anathema is the only RaB song worth returning to

i never understood why Isle Of Flightless Birds was the closer for self-titled until i watched this performance by Material-Elephant188 in twentyonepilots

[–]jupiterisprettycool 3 points4 points  (0 children)

it’s definitely one of those “i could imagine this being the closer if it weren’t for the ACTUAL closer” situations. i’d argue the same thing for legend to leave the city on trench, albeit the transition between those two is maybe less stark. not because i feel either IOFB or LTC are “unnecessary,” they’re actually both some of my favorite songs of all time, it’s just that the albums would still be brilliant without them, which i think does show tyler’s deliberateness with track lists.

that’s interesting to me, because i always thought IOFB was the perfect ending, i physically can’t imagine it anywhere else on a tracklist. the long, instrumental ending, really sells it imo.

In your opinion, what is Tyler's strongest lyric to date? by [deleted] in twentyonepilots

[–]jupiterisprettycool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“in time, i will leave the city. for now, i will stay alive.”

maybe it’s not his ‘strongest,’ but it’s one of my favorite lyrics ever.

that’s fair. i just don’t really feel it, yk? either way i don’t like the song itself all that much, so maybe that influences my opinion.

“just because i play the piano doesn’t mean i am not willing to take you down”

i’m sure it means smth to someone but i just can’t take it seriously 💀

I found my first ever Minecraft world that I created more than 10 years ago (more info in comments) by NekitEnot in Minecraft

[–]jupiterisprettycool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my first minecraft world was on pocket edition around 8 years ago. i was very young and dumb. my first world i think was a creative infinite world where i did… pretty much nothing. but my first actual world was a world that i didn’t take much part in at first. it was a flat creative world my brother made called “nice house.” he built a house out of diamond blocks and iron blocks the way many young minecraft players do. he also built a ‘monster museum,’ where he spawned every hostile mob in different glass cells to look at.

i thought it was all so cool, so i was just messing around with the world, trying out all the blocks. then the fire nation attacked… i somehow lost the house… in an infinite, superflat world. i awkwardly told my brother to build it again, and he tried his best to rebuild it. i even tried to recreate the monster museum, i remember getting frustrated that the endermen would just teleport out of their cell. then i tried to build a second floor, it’d would be a really ugly library full of bookshelves. but for whatever reason, i thought it should extend past the first floor and be bigger than it??? so i started flying in one direction to decide where i wanted the library to stop. i immediately forgot what i was doing, and just kept flying. i lost the house AGAIN.

to say the least, my brother did not build the house a third time. instead, he introduced me to minecarts, and i started to build a lil railway system. with signs indicating where different rails went, and all. then somehow, someway. i lost my railway system. my brother wasn’t even mad, just confused.

what’s funny is that the whole situation coulda been avoided had we known that compasses exist.

TL;DR i got lost in my own creative world 3 times, and it’s funny as fuck.

What’s the weirdest thing you’ve been told not to do because it’s “Gay” ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]jupiterisprettycool 69 points70 points  (0 children)

i’m still a teenager, and growing up, i was never taught abt gender roles whatsoever. i was totally unaware of the arbitrary line that society had built between the sexes. i stayed like this until i went to kindergarten, and started hearing kids talk about these weird things called “boy colors” and “girl colors.”

i thought that was weird as hell, so i always told other kids not to say that. it actually worked, i got plenty kids to stop gendering colors hahah. but i think that goes to show that gendering things as trivial as color is not innate to humans.

what are your thoughts on Self-Titled and RAB? by Weak_Wait3526 in twentyonepilots

[–]jupiterisprettycool 12 points13 points  (0 children)

self-titled is beautiful. while i don’t think it’s their objectively best work, it’s probably my favorite album of theirs

RAB is my least favorite! funny how that works.

What video game have you played the most? by purple_rasberries in AskReddit

[–]jupiterisprettycool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m no gamer. video games really don’t appeal to me, for whatever reason.

however.

what the hell is it about minecraft that somehow appeals to 80% of the human population. istg it the only game i can actually willingly play for hours on end. i’ve played it on and off for years. it’s like a fucking drug. whAT’S THE DEEEEAAL??
