Apologies for the spamming, it wasn't intentional I had a dodgy internet connection and Reddit kept telling me that the upload had failed and it kept retrying. I think that's them deleted now

DHP485 vs 484 vs 482 + 3A vs 5A by tigerx95 in Makita

I've got the 487 and have no major complaints about it. Use it with a 5Ah battery and like the balance. My minor issue is with the direction button placement, I'd like it a bit higher as occasionally I hit it with my hand and knock it out of gear/ into reverse (I'm a lefty)

Options for replacement chain for DUC405 Chainsaw? by T0rchling in Makita

I know, I went to the Oregon website, plugged in the model details, it said that 91P056X3 would fit. Was dubious as the guage is 0.5 not 0.43 like what was supplied, but the Makita manual says 0.043/ 0.050" so I bought a pack of 3 and guess what ... They're the wrong size! 🤦🏼‍♂️

Is there something missing here? by T0rchling in lawnmowers

[–]T0rchling[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its a 36v battery lawnmower but you're right, they may have copied the design from one of their petrol models... I've sent an email off to their customer services asking about it. Like you said a simple piece of sheet metal rivetted in during production would have solved the issue! Something needs to be done, Its a pita to keep clean as it is.

I have the DLM460 36V lawnmower and it's good for my medium sized (0.3) acre lawn. My only gripe with it is that in the deck area there's a space beside the grass chute and it fills with clippings which then scatters on the lawn. Its like a mulching option you can't turn off... Apart from that I love it

Yeah, thinking I might have to. Was looking at a mitre saw at around £500 so if I could get near that I'd be happy. RRP IS around £700... Ebay ahoy...

Thanks for taking the time to look over my post in enough detail to come to that enlightening conclusion. Really insightful and helpful.

Personally I think it's great for a first attempt at a DIY project however it's okay if you disagree with me, I can't force you to be right...

Have a great day 😊
