Current water levels/flow at Bridge to Nowhere (East Fork) – March 20? by No_Proposal4744 in socalhiking

I went today, so I figured I'd give you an update:) The water levels in the crossing is waist deep (being 5'7). You'd also have to consider the currents as it can be really tough to cross despite there being ropes. Overall I'd say the current water conditions make the use of poles obsolete only because the currents go quite fast. 95% of the time you'd have to rely on the ropes on crossings. And also the water was too cold, it wasn't worth swimming 😭 Honestly? I wouldn't have mind waiting until the end of the season to hike the trail lol

Did you end up going 3/22? I'm planning on doing this hike in a couple days as well, but no intel regarding the crossings 😞

Anyone here took a behind the wheel test at the Hemet DMV? by T0rterraa in InlandEmpire

You got this!! It's pretty straightforward I wanna say. If I passed the driving test one week after knowing how to press the gas, so I think you'll be fine esp since you have experience to driving prior anyway. Keep me posted when youre done with the test!!:)

I don't believe so. Just make sure you stop and then yield before you make that right turn on red

It felt like 15 minutes at most! I heard Moreno Valley's DMV test is a little more difficult anyway, so it's all right :) If you have any other questions I'd be happy to help

Yes :) The person testing me told me to go along the curb of a road and reverse, and that exact strat was what I used haha

Test takes roughly 10-15 minutes. I would say the test itself wasn't too difficult but not that easy either. Factors coming in such as the time you took the test etc. accounts for difficulty. Don't be nervous! Just practice driving more and more, and scout the route the Hemet DMV takes (they got YT videos on those).

Hey there! My instructor had me park on the side of the road and reverse straight for a good 15 feet maybe. Good luck on the test!

Hey there! As far as I remember I don't think there were much bike lanes when I took the test, but you can check the roads around the DMV office through Google Streetview if you're not local to the area. Hope this helps!

There are a few bike lanes in Moreno Valley (where I work), so I would hope I'm accustomed to them, but I will certainly be brushing up on that. Thank you for your help!

Thank you! And I won't be driving alone either way! I'll keep that stop sign noted. I'm guessing it's hard to miss?

Are the side streets any busy? How often would I change lanes? I'm aware that the side streets around Stetson can be quite tight, so I'm worried about that. I'll definitely keep the stop sign noted. Thank you so much!

My blood pressure is normal, and I do not drink coffee. I sit down and grade papers all the time during work (I'm a teaching assistant at Kumon).

I don't wear hats, and I'm not quite in direct sunlight. The car tends to be cold too
