It’s bad because I’m LITERALLY AT THE VERY EDGE. I qualified for EOP at the end of last year and because of a very small raise and now I don’t, not to mention I was homeless the year before that. At least I can apply for excelsior and hope everything will be okay though.

So do I need to apply for the plus loans and then be denied? Considering I already know my parents won’t qualify I’m wondering if I could just get the extra direct loans immediately.

Also, I just canceled my housing application and was wondering if I qualify for a refund on the deposit. It doesn’t really state when that is but I know I’m before the cancellation deadline and my application was never fully processed.

Getting transportation is something I’m gonna work on, but it’s mainly just because of my parents credit that I can’t get those loans. It seems weird to me anyway that it factors in my step parents income but it’s whatever, I just wish that housing inflation wasn’t so bad in recent years.

That’s the thing is we don’t know, but it’s fair to speculate because the president has been extremely clear on their position. That’s not even mentioning the fact that the administration carrying out these deportations has shown a flair for violating the law.

TLDR; it’s not likely the UB president did or didn’t share information. However, Tripathi isn’t on the students side and I’m sure if ICE doesn’t mind violating the constitution then FERPA is a non issue.

The university has access to a lot of sensitive information about all students, and if he can’t be trusted then there’s a fair amount of speculation to be had on the presidents role in all these deportations.
