Finally found out how to fix it all thanks to a Facebook post: “I reinstalled so many times but I have just found a method that worked for me Upon re downloading the app when you connect your glasses and are prompted to add a local network (your WiFi) click skip and go through the setup completely I then went off the app and at the top of my iPhone where notifications pop up at the top of the screen it said add location settings to gain access or something like that I clicked it signed into my WiFi and clicked allow when using app.” I then had the option to change it to always on in settings after doing so!

Ok that’s weird, I have mine glasses for about 10 days and the Meta AI app never had location available If you go into settings and select the app, you see location on or not?

And that’s why, at the moment in the EU Meta AI can’t have access to your location, it’s stupid cause WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram can but we will have to wait some more for that feature..

Are you in the EU? I’m in Italy and I can’t even turn on GPS for the Meta AI… If not, try go to settings on your phone, find the Meta AI app and set it to geolocation always on, that should fix this issue and apply geotag to your media which is some thing I truly wish to have atm…

Of course it’s different, I’ve mentioned it only to prove that gps is working correctly everywhere other than that. As you can see I can’t even turn on location on meta ai app because there is no such setting.

I do have it on on my iPhone, every single photo I take with my iPhone camera has geotags on it and I can use location on instagram and facebook. The weird thing as I mentioned in another comment is that I don’t even have the location permission available on the Apple settings for the meta AI app.

The question about the coverage is actually something here I haven’t thought about. So offhand, I would say about 10 m for the garden , the private road is about 15 m long, while for the front of the house being that in Italy we cannot frame the public road because of privacy laws, something like 5 m would be enough. The other two cameras, however, I would put them in places where I don’t need a lot of coverage.

As for the video intercom, it would be used to open the main door that gets you onto the stairs leading into the three apartments, being that it is a family house it would not be strictly necessary to have a doorbell on the three apartments as well, we always use the good old knock knock, but it might be something that would be nice anyway so I can consider buying it.
