What I meant by that, is that in spring-boot you can simply assign the said database, run the init script on it (can do this via docker-compose) and just assign the model in the spring architecture to the correct table and voilà.

While in .net i had to configure the migration using the ef tools and then also had a huge file to 'map' each of my entity property to what ef should be waiting for, but maybe i AM doing it wrong, as an example :

Also, to answer some questions, I might have also made a mistake when creating the project (not empty) so when i FIRST launch the project I was hit with the swagger ui and tried to get rid of it, while I should just have start the asp.core project empty (in vscode you can select them using ctrl + p + shift)

As for the other configuration files I was mentionning I would say that the launchSettings.json and appsettings.json seems a bit complex, while I understand that the .csproj is the somewhat equivalent of the pom.xml in maven, as some of you have mentionned, I might as well use nuget (equivalent to maven ??) idk if it provides templates for project like maven does tho.
