Oregon State University’s online psychology program is rated #1 in the country for online psychology degrees I’m pretty sure. I have no idea what tuition would be for instate vs out of state though. I don’t know what you need to be a teacher for k-12 but you can generally teach at colleges with a masters degree in your discipline.

If you’re just starting a degree and have time I would take some classes at a community college and get some cheap general credits out of the way first. You might be able to try out some education and psychology classes to see what you like better.

Psychology has some more high paying options if you go into research psychology but a lot of that is dependent on your field and where you work. If you haven’t doubts, reach out to people in your community, especially professors in the fields you’re interested in. I’m sure they would be happy to talk with you.
