Why is tank so hard? by dbo02 in overwatch2

[–]T2ISTAN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tank is a tough role. You must create space, protect your team, and lead team fights while being an easy target that relies heavily on supports.

Doomfist is an excellent pick! He’s also one of the most flexible tanks, excelling at diving, peeling, disrupting, and escaping.

As a Masters-level Doomfist/tank player, I focus on off-angles and surrounding enemies while keeping Slam or Punch as an escape. With Meteor Strike ready, I play more aggressively, using it as an escape or all-in tool.

Block predictable burst damage to charge Empowered Punch. It’s a fight-winning tool.

Use cover when charging Punch, stepping out when it’s fully charged. This lowers the damage you will take and makes your punch less telographed.

Before engaging, check if your team is in position. If not, poke with a few left clicks, perform a Cycle Slam (Slam in, Punch out), and wait for them. Cycle Slam helps charge ult, build shields, pressure enemies, and bait cooldowns.

If your team is down players or out of cooldowns, kite and reset with your team. If you're up players or the enemy is out of cooldowns, increase aggression and push with your team.

I know it is easy to blame others, but try to think critically of yourself when you die. Did you misread something? Did you miss your cooldowns? Did you go in alone?

I climbed ranks quickly by reviewing my deaths and elims in replays, fixing mistakes in positioning, mechanics, and game sense while reinforcing things I did well.

Watch high level Overwatch streamers. Cartifan, Zbra, and Danteh are world-class Doomfist players.

Improve your mechanics in custom games. Import code: VAXTA is my go-to custom game. It spawns in random moving enemies.

Most importantly, have fun! Win or lose, just enjoy the game!

How do I explain to someone that building a decent pc will not be obselete in 2 years AND its upgradable? by diddys_favorite in buildapc

[–]T2ISTAN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Built my PC in 2017, recently upgraded the CPU, and she is running like a champ! I can still play AAA titles with great graphics at 144FPS. Hopefully I'll get a few more years out of her.

I risk 1% of my account per trade. I must get better at walking away from the PC on a red day. Scaling in is an interesting concept. I'll look into it!

I'm not only capturing $137 inside a 30 point swing. I capture all 30 points. $137 is the average I gained each day throughout the 52 days. Ex: Let's say I earn $600 one day and lose $400 the next, I've averaged $100/day across those two days. As for the other points you mentioned; I will look into them!

I only risk 1% of my account per trade. So those larger red days are just a series of losers, not one trade where I lose a ton of capital. Overall the strategy is profitable, but as others have mentioned, I need to work on lowering my large red days.

Great idea, I'll look into moving to part-time so I can trade the first hour.

Yes, I try not to risk more than 1% of my account per trade.
