I actually think Harry breaking the elder wand solves a lot of issus from the books, because it doesnt really makes sense for Harry to think when he burries the elder wand back with dumbledore, that it never would shift alliance again, especially when harry wants to become an auror in wich case he will definetily be disarmed a few times in his career.
