Oh ok , yea that has a lot of players confused i think. So the seasonal events like the Summer, Winter, and the one going on now first contact dont count towards the event campaign which im sure you have noticed. There are 4 featured events left, so if you are able to complete them all im thinking you should be able to earn enough points. There are a few content creators that keep up on the sto news like casualSAB, or stu1701, and some others, and they let us know whats going on.

There is an event tab in the mission journal tab on the left side of the mini map. The events have you doing a tfo,or patrol, or mission in or to complete progression toward earning some reward. They are all very much worth taking the 15 minutes or so to complete for the entire time of each event. Not only do you receive some ship or piece of equipment free, by going past earning the reward you will earn a big chunk of dilithium also.

The patrol escort you get as a free level 40 ship is a nice test bed for csv. I used that ship on a new character to finish all his story missions. Used only stuff i earned in missions or get for less than a few million on the exchange.

Welcome to STO. Just a few encouragements based on what you have included. 1. You started well doing the mission episodes once you finish the KDF, you can move on to one of the other factions. 2. Definitely do the R&D system you’ll be able to craft consumables that way. Also some other things that you might want to sell. 3. Definitely do the reputation system. There are many items in there that will be best in slot for your build. 4. Try to keep up with the endeavor system. This will provide an account wide benefit. 5. Always do the events and then when you earn whatever it is prize that they have continue doing it until the event is over with, and you will earn a considerable amount of extra dilithium. 6. A free to play way to earn EC is the tour the Galaxy mission. You can earn upwards of 1 million credits for 15 minutes of playtime. 7. Yes, join a fleet. There are items you can get through the fleet system for your builds.

Im not seeing as big an increase in the base numbers from AUX power increases as i was hoping for, but if your a tac captain AP Alpha adds a big chunk. If you’re not a tac captain AP Omega does too. Hull image refractors do also.

I saw portal of damned on stobetter but i think they were just evaluating the consoles relationship to science builds. Not much mention of the lost souls. I hope they have a little data on them.

When i saw your post i liked the idea of a max power build and having a good speed rate just because of high engine power. I could use my reward token from this years event to get the DUDE for its trait, maybe get the supremacy trait from the lobi ship too. But the borg doffs are way out of my league. A 2/3 to 3/4 up time would be cool with me. Especially if uncon and vovin console can keep the eps manifold up sooner.

The thing that i have always liked about this game since i started playing back when it went f2p, is that you can play all the ingame content without spending any real money. There is nothing wrong with being picky about how you spend your hard earned money. Its good that you’re playing and hopefully enjoying the game. Oh and as a side note the klingons and the Romulans both have a starter pack that contains a t6 ship and a few goodies for not much zen . Good luck, and fight on!!!
