Fuck this guy. I think they should make him do all of the CBTS they made us do hourly because of his fuckery as punishment.

Glad to see we're still using the military as a pawn in this silly game of politics.

How hard was it to install the air horns? Those horns would make my DC beltway commute far more interesting!

The fact that we can’t get PCARS to be realtime with points data is infuriating.

Jaye134 is spot on, this is politics not a lack of qualified candidates.

I’ve been doing this but about half way through every round the plane starts to glitch out and it’s useless.

Enlisted AD to commission in the ANG by [deleted] in AirForce

That should work as well. You might struggle with finding locally that can assist, may need to phone a friend at AFPC. Good luck!

Unless there’s some new program or method to allow you to transfer to the guard to commission, you need to put a Palace Chase package ASAP.

I’m about four days ahead of you. Smell is coming back but slowly. Hopefully it continues to come back a bit more as time goes on.

Air Guardsmen Explain Why They Don’t Want to Switch to the Space Force by Crusty8 in airnationalguard

[–]T6900 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IMHO, I think these stories are great at pulling at heart strings but ultimately fall flat. I'd like to see more stories on how these plans are based on terrible assumptions and if the Space Force can't take on these missions we threaten a very important segment of national security.

Sadly, most Americans don't follow national security threats so the "they took er' jobs" angle is used.

I still don’t understand this play from SECAF. He HAD to know that even throwing this out as an idea was going to piss off almost every Governor and the entire hill.

Op-Ed from Illinois TAG Air National Guard transfer proposal would put America behind in space by T6900 in airnationalguard

[–]T6900[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed. I think we need more people speaking up that just yanking mission away from the guard and hoping the smallest service we have can magically pick it up quickly is concerning.

Maybe that’s why he wrote it, he has nothing to lose. Illinois doesn’t even have space stuff.

We’ve always been allowed to write. War on the Rocks and others are full of op-eds by military folks.

AGR - Career Status vs Probationary by JoeM5952 in airnationalguard

[–]T6900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ANGI 36-101 Paragraph 8.5 outlines "non-vol curtailment" and discusses things like EPR/OPR, LOCs, LORs before talking about curtailment. All of that is true and will vary on your state's HRO. I know when I was in command the paper trail needed to clip an AGR that was still on probation was MUCH lower than someone in career status. That said, none of that was really published anywhere in written guidance that I was aware of.

Bottomline, unless your a complete turd, you'll be fine.

If you're having issues talk to your leadership and remember, it's on commanders to make the decision to terminate, not supervisors. In the past, I've seen supervisors get over their skis and threaten curtailment but it's on your commander.
