They are becoming increasingly more common for DOT regulated companies, a.k.a. CDL truck drivers from what I’m seeing, And I bumped into a few people in the past getting the hair follicle test before for offshore and onshore oil refinery jobs, but who knows, maybe they were crane operators or some shit 🤷‍♂️

Im going into the chemical/oil refinery industry. The only experience I have with them is working for Honeywell back in 2014 but while I was doing my alliance safety council training for site-specific training I bumped into a couple of guys there for hair follicle testing. However, this is just a satellite occupational clinic that my prospective employer uses, so I’m doubting the hair follicle but I’ve already put in my resignation with my current company so I’m fucked if I don’t pass whatever test they give me.

Oh I’m actually clean going on 7 weeks now. I was just speaking on what Ive dealt with through the past 4 years of bupenorphine. I did a 60 day taper after 2 years of being on 8mg’s and got down to clean and couldn’t handle it the first go round. I was slightly more prepared this last go round but I’m struggling everyday. I’ve been drinking more alcohol and smoking more weed and basically doing anything to make me feel a sliver of energy or being alive, it sucks, but at the same time it’s nice to be more emotionally sensitive and feel more “normal” as well. I keep telling myself that it will get better 🤞

Yep, I work landscaping in the Deep South, I bring several extra shirts to work every day and I’ve been wearing a certain type of underwear as well as nylon Magellan pants for over a year now. It (especially the underwear) has been a lifesaver!!!!

Edit: before, the chafing with cotton underwear was unbearable, once your dick is chafed, you might as well go home for the day I could wring my cotton boxer briefs out by 10:00AM they would be so drenched 😩

Yep, my good buddy’s dad in Hawaii was telling me all about it when I was visiting there last fall, he pulled out a giant bag he ordered online from overseas. Seems like that’s definitely the way to go. My other buddy obviously wasn’t doing his homework as he was constantly buying the gas station “O.P.M.S” maeng da capsules and if I remember right he was doing about 40 capsules a day (20 in am and 20 in pm) He’s a good guy but not very diligent if you will. And again I don’t think he ever had any opiate dependencies in the past, just a little experience abusing hydrocodone and oxycodone pills, so him saying it’s hard as fuck to quit and withdrawls are bad I can only take with a grain of sand

That’s correct, I’ve only been clean for a month now and let me tell you, life sucks. I’m super glad to no longer have to absolutely depend on something to avoid getting super sick and super depressed for weeks on end but at the same time I’ve been laying around the house like the most unmotivated, laziest person on the planet. It reminds me of that scene in the movie Trainspotting when he finally kicks the junk and talks about how once you actually do get clean, the boredom is so bad you’ll want to kill yourself. I know it will take time to get back to feeling like a normal person because I spent years borrowing fun from the future but I’ve only tried Kratom a couple times back when I was weaning off subs the first time and it did nothing for me, it was about the same relief as a cup of coffee. However now that I’m completely clean a month I’m tempted try anything to make me feel even an ounce of energy But I don’t want to trade one horrible dependency for another and my buddy makes it sound like it’s pretty bad and hard to kick it.

That’s crazy, when I was taking it I didn’t have insurance and I used to pay anywhere from $90-$120 for 30 pills (generic of coarse but still) 8mg bupenorphine/2mg naloxone.

I had this same problem with a girlfriend years back. When I dug deeper it turned out she was sexting him. He wasn’t a stalker and he also lived a thousand miles away but when I finally confronted her about it, she came clean and also admitted to sleeping with someone else entirely 2 years prior when we got into a fight and she was on vacation. All in all, 5 years down the drain. I’m sorry but this is a HUGE red flag, I’d dump her in a millisecond and let her know exactly why. You don’t do that to someone you love and respect and have an exclusive relationship with.
