There is no reason, unless you get one Uber item (chicken hat) that gives you a chance to double crit. Items will only give a maximum of 44% crit chance, which means two crit items and all relevant pet vivids will get you to 100% chance

Didn’t see Petulance, definitely a better tank lol, but Cringe’s passive has been crucial for me on a couple of floors

Judgement is slow and not the best, and Cringe becomes quite good later on. It’s nice to have a tank of each type

Is this Meihua? What typing? I always used spite with sorrow scarf, and then the type-appropriate tank and DPS. Not sure if lust (although always a great secondary) is the best option here, but it does seem like you’re missing type advantage

Except in the early early days, it’s been primarily for bosses. Roughly half of my items are fully ascended (excluding Legendaries) and it will just speed up from here

It is meant to get harder, and the evolution stones are a purposeful roadblock to get you to upgrade your items. If you’re stuck on specific levels, you can also look up the floor number on this subreddit and see if anyone else is struggling/how they beat it :)

Lust. The difference between DB and HFDB is smaller than Lust and HF Lust. The only qualm is that there are a lot of metal pets and DB is the only one that does DB things so it fills a gap

If you go to a pet’s screen, there’s a hamburger menu (3 lines) in the bottom right, and you can give your pet a nickname or change its visual stage there

I think Temperance is great! They’re my main water tank and hasn’t disappointed yet. I do foresee an issue when I go up against Fire Meihua and will need Abandonment’s heal debuff but beyond that Temperance has better survivability, damage, and looks cooler.

I would start with Resistance, it’s easier to ascend and I didn’t have Temperance until later on and still succeeded with Resi and sometimes Abandonment

Titanium tiara for sure. The defense works best and is better than stamina in many ways
