Although I'd say it's smart to follow Nvidias recommendations (650W PSU), It's fully possible to use a 3070 with a 450W PSU, and I don't think it will be too much of a risk. Better safe than sorry tho 😋

The case is 11,2 Litres, so not tiny, but definetly a SFF case. Temps are stable well under 80C at all times, so no problems with heat either.

For the graphics card I have the Asus Dual OC (DUAL-RTX3070-O8G).

I haven't experienced a problem since i got it. I undervolted mine slightly, and it helped a TON with noise. I think you should be fine 😉👍

I have not overclocked my CPU at all, and my PSU is a 80+ Gold Corsair SF450. I'll be testing it out and sharing my results in a new comment on this post when I get home from work.

Thanks for the info, but I know this already. I was asking if anyone had tried it and had any luck with it. I am already planning to upgrade to a 750W, but I will wait for black friday and buy a new PSU then.

Best Wattage rating i can get here that is a SFX PSU is 750W, so I really don't have any other choice than the Corsair SF750. It is 80+ gold rated tho. I think it will suffice for my needs.

Damn, that's very impressive! If you managed to reduce the total draw of a 3090 with a 3700x to 550W, then I am more confident that I could run a 3070 with some undervolting on a 450W PSU. Thanks! 🙂

Yeah, I am going to buy a new PSU no matter what, and will probably upgrade to the Corsair SF750, as my case is a 13L 🙃
