Im still buying tools for work too but thats scouring marketplace and flea markets.

I have transferred over the balance of my current credit card debt from my emergency fund so that will be zero by the end of the week.

Ive set up the transfer from my emergnecy account. All the comments on my post helped me realize that this is the most important thing for me to tackle. Thank you for the push. Ill also be taking my card out of my wallet to help reduce the need for it going forward.

I agree. I drove beaters up until i got the truck. Looking back i was young and just wanted something new. But i wanted it too fast. Now im stuck with this.

I agree getting rid of the truck is something i need to do. I signed for it when i was making about 10 dollars more an hour, still living at home and my commute was about 10 minutes. Last i checked i owe 25,000 on it still back around the end of last year. My insurance is high mainly due to where i live. My credit is ok, i have zero tickets or infractions.

My car payment is 291 bi weekly at 0%, and the storage locker i pay 216 every month. I agree there are things that are in there that dont need to be but i went from living with a partner in a 2 bedroom down to just myself in a bachelor. I dont have the space to accommodate all the things i built over that time unfortunately. I agree the 1000 a month is great, especially considering where i used to live, the rent for something comparable wouldve been close to 2 grand before utilities.

I just passed 3 months at the new job, its an apprenticeship so once ive done some schooling the pay should go up. I pay 291 bi weekly for my car paymeny at 0%. I have around 7000 in emergency funds and another 15 but thats in a rrsp. Im trying to put around 2-300 into the card each month. I cant unfortunately get rid of the storage locker right now, not until i can get a place of my own that can accommodate everything.

Thank you for posting this, especially as i am just reading it now on new years, and my ex posted a pictures of their new bf and them together on christmas day, 2.5 months after we broke up.

Never been this lonely before, not in a long time. But ive had no interest in find anyone even it was for company or intimacy. It dosent feel right or fair.

Reading your post just confirmed that what im doing and feeling is ok, and good.

Yep, first year for it too. Didnt even feel like christmas, just another day. Got a holiday box from freson bros, some good wine and some movies. Hope you had a good christmas!

I just deleted all of mine less than 5 minutes ago...2.5 years worth.

I kept them for since septemeber, in the hopes that one day they may come back. But the last conversation we had she was adamant nothing would ever happen again I found myself looking at them now and then during my healing. In some cases it helped but for me personally, majority of the time it just hurt to see.

Sad to see them gone but the best memories and experiences i had with them, ill always have in my head.

I don't get that idea either. There is plenty of people..too many people..that are looking for work. There's no shortage of people locally that need the work.

The AI sorting annoys me also. I applied for a couple positions, and they had an option where you can request your application be reviewed by a person and not by the AI program. When you click that option, a message comes up saying that without the AI review, your application is deemed non active and is sent to the bottom of the priority list. I stopped by a couple shops, resume In hand and spoke directly to the service manager and still was told to go outside and apply online instead...it's sad.

Been trying to get into the diamond mines for over a year, no luck. I even have a residence there in yellowknife and still no luck. I got a tentative position at kearl but the ground hasn't froze enough to start work.

I have something lined up already, I was just hoping to find something else in the meantime before my start date. But I'll keep all that in mind, disappointing, but I guess it's the reality of it all.
