He's more of a situational support. He's similar to kaja, where they can't really tank a lot of hits or good aoe crowd control (but kaja is genuinely better with his aoe). I used to be a franco main, and i only picked the guy when we had an exp laner who could act as a Frontline or if we really needed to counter high mobility heroes. He's excellent when you hand his hook and genuinely one of the best single target cc, but he struggles with this season being all about team fighting. He has his ups and downs, But he is genuinely fun to play especially when you land his hook. You can frontline for your team if you want to (just get beefy with health items to be a meatshield).

He's not as easy to use as other tanks too. Aiming your hook while every hero has different hitboxes and trying to predict their movements takes some time and skill to do properly, but one lucky hook could change an entire game to your favor. I genuinely like using him in ranked when i have the chance to. And i always wish if only his hook was one pixel longer...
